Should the "re-imagined" NCC-1701 have blue warp nacells as the Enterprise NX-01 and C through E have? I'd personally like to see it.

If the Enterprise has blue warp nacelles I shall boycott all parts of the movie that show the nacelles. And by boycott, I mean close my eyes and stick my fingers in my ears.

If I cant see it or hear it, it won't happen.

Maybe they'll have some completely different way of portraying warp drive.

Doesn't Federation ships from some of the Starfleet Battles artwork have the TNG-esque blue glows in the nacelles?

The port nacelle should be blue, and the starboard nacelle should be hot pink.

And the blue nacelle should be played by William Shatner.

    Anyone ready with the photoshop?

    Let's do some pre-vis.

And I think that would be marv-Ah-lous (in my best Billy Crystal). I'm really excited to see a fresh and different take on the Trek-verse.

Can you make him sleek enough to play the blue nacelle convincingly?

I don't care about the nacelle colors. I'd like to see the nacelles go thru a transformation as the ship goes into warp. Kind of like KITT with Super Pursuit Mode on Knight Rider. And then when the ship drops out of warp, various panels pop out to slow them down.

Honestly I would prefer something akin to the effect used in TMP. The blue lights turn on when the ship is jumping to warp.

Or not, they'll probably do something different.

I'm more interested in what the warp effect might be. Again I'm hoping for something similar to TMP as I have always thought that warp effect was best.

Well, we all know that warp drive is generated through the use of massive quantities of blue LEDs, right? Except you also need lots of RED leds in the front. "Technology" = "bright primary color lighting."

That is a sweet ride! Now, if we can just add the sweeping red scanner to the front of the primary hull, and get William Daniels to do the voice of the ship's computer, then we'll have something!

As Tobias Funke might say, "I just blue myself."
