And I'm not referering purely to esthetics (though it does count). Includes overall attitude and feel. Also count any incarnation where applicable (e.g. Uhura). I'm sticking to major cast only for this, but feel free to use "other" for any recurrent / single appearance character of your choice.
Jadzia. she had a joie de vivre that many Trek characters lacked and seemed like she'd be FUN to work with or to hang out with. plus, she's a fox.
I voted for Kira, as well. She's my favorite female Trek character overall. Just love her attitude; plus she's cute. Sean
I voted Other, because I'd rank: 1. Leeta 2. Leah Brahms 3. Gaila before I'd get to one mentioned by name in the poll: 4. T'Pol (preferably, the Mirror version) But if it were about the actresses, T'Pol would be at the top of my list. Ya gotta love someone would say this about B & B - "What Manny means to say is that they're like a couple of retards in a room full of bouncy balls." (And yes, I know she didn't really say that. But she would - I just know it.)
I voted other for Vash. Vash breaks into the captain's quarters. Does Picard call security? Does he have her thrown in the brig? No, the good captain beds her and makes her breakfast the next morning. This woman is just too cool! Warmest Wishes, Whoa Nellie
B'Elanna Torres is so interesting and conflicted and smart. I used to wish Paris was as interesting but I'm warming up to him for her - mostly though the magic of TrekLit.
Janeway: cos she da man (if votes were about looks though) Leeta: Va vummmmmm (and to think she's doin that ugly huge nosed Ferengi) Damn Shame!
OK, then we make another try. The one I voted for is: Kes! Outstanding character! Beautiful, nice and friendly but also brave, strong-willed, determined and curious. Her will to learn and explore relly personifies the spirit of Star Trek. As a character, she's both a contrast and a complement to more traditional female "action characters" with her way of trying to solve problems by moving around them and attack them from another angle. Definitely one of Star trek's most interesting characters.
Kira, because she'd kick your ass for calling her a "chick." Oooh we got a Kira vs Jadzia horse race!
Other: Samantha Wildman. Not only have I had a thing for her since VOY started, I honestly think she's the one I'd most likely fall for in 'real life'. She's not a rampaging soldier or a famous captain or anything like that. Just a normal, down-to-earth science officer.
Sorry, T'Pring is #1. LOL Spock is running around the galaxy with this nitwit human and the nitwit human is in charge. But all of the time he has this hot babe back on Vulcan that nobody knows about. But she has her own agenda. She had no way of knowing Spock would bring Kirk but she creates a situation where she gets what she wants no matter what. http://www.myspace.com/tpring Dragonladies are too cool but you need to figure out whose side they are on. LOL I really couldn't stand Kirk and Spock was an Uncle Tom Tom alien. The Mirror Spock was really cool when he told Kirk he had orders to kill him. http://tos.trekcore.com/episodes/season2/2x01/captioninglog.txt Spock sounds kind of lame at the end. Ye olde Vulcan sour grapes? psik
