Nhhnng! She always looks so good in the grey/blue biosuit... specially carrying a phaser and looking fierce: The comfy slippers pic is one of my all times favourites, Gov Kodos. She looks so adorable, relaxed and beautiful in that one.
ACK! I think I spent a couple months and 82 thousand words disproving a link between J/Cers and Seven haters! I love them both, and although I bow at the ingenuity and sweetness behind many J/7 vids, I'll go to the grave seeing there relationship as purely nonsexual. (Just like I'll go to the grave seeing the opposite between Xena and Gabrielle! ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRqsYgrl1Rw [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRqsYgrl1Rw[/yt] Oh wait... this is the Seven/Jeri thread.... Need to leave the white tuxed Janeway aside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBbWC7Z8J0Q&feature=player_detailpage#t=61s [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBbWC7Z8J0Q&feature=player_detailpage#t=61s[/yt] This one is just for Spalko! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odjQio5k6lg&feature=fvst [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odjQio5k6lg&feature=fvst[/yt]
(Yes, I know I spelled "their" wrong, but I refuse to edit posts with vids that actually "work". ) Ask and you shall find it... on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pox1jShyh5Y [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pox1jShyh5Y[/yt] And I think Spalko's fav blue suit can be found here. http://www.treksinscifi.com/babedaily/babes/2009-09-10_TV_Babes.jpg I like how the "taller" Lucy is crouching so that Seven looks bigger. Hmmmm. http://www.trektoday.com/images/news/jerilucy.jpg I wonder if Gabrielle and Janeway should be worried?
I'd love to see these 82 thousand words! I've seen this happen with mine own eyes having spent a lot of time around the J/C chunk of our little fandom. It absolutely isn't everyone, but it sure happens. I think the fine people here, however, do not indulge in such things, which is nice
froot, froot... be careful what you wish for! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQvkoo66vYI The link to the story can be found in Possum's vid description. And since Seven is 1 of the 3 linchpins upon which this story rests, this post is still kosher for the Seven appreciation thread. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQvkoo66vYI[/yt]
I'll include this one, since some may not have it or have seen it when it came out; also I sympathize, since I had to migrate my photo albums, too -- and it's going to be happening again, since Apple is discontinuing Mobile Me. This is gettin' annoyin'!
I almost forgot about that photo - in that photo she has the glowing beauty of a bride in her twenties.
BTW for you Jeri Ryan fans who haven't listened to it yet, here's episode #95 of the Nerdist Podcast. http://www.nerdist.com/2011/06/nerdist-podcast-95-jeri-ryan/ Jeri seems to be a super fun person
Agree! I just posted this TV guide article in the scifi forum. http://www.mirrorblue.com/pl/articles/tvweek/index.shtml I felt for her breaking down during "Year of Hell, and loved her response to the "female bonding" aspects of her show. And here's a Jeri Ryan article during her pregnant "Shark" days. http://www.tvguide.com/news/jeri-ryan-shark-39006.aspx And this was a neat video interview 13 months after the birth of her duahgter, when she was appearing on SVU. (I guess i wasn't watching it that year.) http://video.tvguide.com/Law++Order...Jeri+Ryan/2121670?autoplay=true&partnerid=OVG
Loved "The Captains"... but poor Jeri. Sweetie, I hope you didn't fall for that line about being the best looking woman in Star trek. The Casanova used it on every female Trek actor he ran into at that convention!
Didn't she almost become a biomedical engineer because she had the right luck/skill/drive in her mid teens to get a scholarship, why do you think she turned down her career as a scientist from a Hollywood movie?
Before I watched Voyager, I dismissed her as a tool to get ratings. When I started watching the series on DVD and online, she quickly became a favorite character. I liked her tendency to be utterly logical (she was more of a Spock than Tuvok was), and her struggle to explore her humanity. But the main reason I like her character so much.... [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGlC9GUQk5s[/yt] Is that voice. MAGNIFICENT. I could listen to Ryan and Picardo all day. We were also retreated to it in "The Killing Game", where she opens the episode with "It Can't Be Wrong". [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjN8WDaPT8k[/yt] I wish very much she'd venture into singing. I'd buy a CD of hers in a heartbeat. She did a version of "Amazing Grace" in another movie, too. I tend to avoid that song (it's overused, and I'm not religious), but I listen to it again and again just for Ryan's voice.
