My brother's at an AFB in Florida and the base has been closed due to flooding. He has a bunch of furniture in a storage unit and there's a good chance it's all ruined. I'm in VA and live in a finished basement, and it got flooded by 3 inches or so. So I'm homeless for the next 2 weeks while they replace the baseboards, floors, furniture, etc. I'm staying with a friend, but he has no internet!
No internet? Torture!! Here, it's 80 F and sunny, no rain in sight for next week. Actually, we could use some rain; the whole state could.
I think two feet of rain fell in one location according to news reports http://www.terradaily.com/reports/M..._tornado_activity_spawn_worst_events_999.html http://www.space.com/25671-video-arkansas-tornado-outbreak.html http://www.space.com/25661-arkansas-tornado-damage-aerial-drone-view-video.html We may have more severe weather next week http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthread.php?82546-Your-current-weather&p=2210945#post2210945 Even the Sun gets them http://www.space.com/25725-solar-tornado-video-nasa-spacecraft.html

Rain! Again! Yesterday I dug a hole to plant a rose bush and when I came back with the rose, the hole was full of water. It wasn't raining that day, but the ground is just so saturated it seeped into the hole from the ground.
we had a bad storm in my section of Virginia last Monday. hail, trees down everywhere. small barns. why am i just now telling you this? because said storm knocked out internet service and its just been restored.
