Is it bad that I'd really like to take a 1-wood to these little creatures and see how far I could drive one? Fore!

You'd never be able to get one from the tee to the green. They're ergonomically unsuited to the task of being a golf ball.

Now, a football on the other hand... ;)

Yeah, screw Tribbles. I understand the Klingon's hatred of the things. They may look cute but they are ecological terrorists. If you drop one off on a planet, you'd radically alter it's ecosystem.

Before the Klingons blew it up, there were signs all over the tribble homeworld that said, "Have tribble for dinner! Everyone loves tribble!" because they were a staple in the diet of every other lifeform. Mmm, tasty!

If people would just stop getting them wet and feeding them after midnight, the problem would be solved.

'Fore!' becomes eight, then 16, and before you know it you are way over par. Stick to Calloways.

More like rabbit, probably. But then, I've never had rabbit, I don't know that it might taste like chicken.

They would be a good species to raise for meat.
Move slow, reproduce quickly, eat wheat.

If memory serves, Australia introduced rabbits and, with no natural enemies , they reproduced like...well...rabbits. Was a major ecological disaster.

Here you go. Let me know how they taste.

    It's not just rabbits.

The latest Australian pest is the cane toad. It was deliberately introduced to control the cane beetle, which hitched a ride when sugar cane was imported from Hawaii. I'm reminded of the children's song about the old lady who swallowed a fly.

Interestingly, according to the Wiki article, the most widely spread and invasive of all introduced species in Australia is the common domestic cat.

Clever link but I don't think Tribbles are meat eaters. Kirk was in a pile of them, he would have said ouch.

If one is easily shocked, I recommend one NOT seek out the ditty about tribbles composed by filksong writer Voltaire.

But if you don't mind a bit of ribald humor, you'll find yourself humming the meldoy for days.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Surely not fresh meat, but they ate Kirk's chicken sandwich.
You're wrong, it was Bart Simpson's faut! :p

Zebra mussels are harmless if we compare them to Tribbles. It's cruel, but beaming out Tribbles into space can be a matter of survival on a starship. If they don't starve the crew, they will utimately drain all available oxigyen if they dind't already caused too material much damage by their simple overpopulation.

Um...guys?....uh, Betty White seems to be insisting on beaming aboard!?!?...something about unauthorized use of Targ blood and some heinous acts directed at Tribbles?...she is with a Klingon delegation and some Admiral yelling something about a cookbook?...
