Dad and I were on a trip across the border today... Beer, wine, spirits and sweets are still (despite a recent tax reduction on those specific items in order to get us to not cross the border just for that) still a lot cheaper in Germany. We went to the usual place, Zentralmarkt, in Süderlügum, where they have a great Delicatessen and a decent bakery My purchases?... Well: Beer, wine, spirits, sweets, delicatessen and bread. And anti flea drops for the cat -which for some weird reason also are cheaper in Germany. ETA: The books I ordered came while I wasn't home... now I'll have to go to the post office tomorrow Oh well, I'm catsitting somewhere in that direction anyway...
Ack. Hubby (which means me as well) had to shell out $728.00 on brakes, timing belt, alternator belt and other misc. car maintenance. Ugh. I has a sad.
I had to buy another copy of Star Trek: The Shocks of Adversity because like an idiot I stuffed it in one of my laundry bags (along with a little radio and headphones) to make it easier to carry them downstairs to my car. When I got to the laundromat I totally forgot this and put my clothes in a front loading washer and turned it on and then realized it was in the washer. It came out as a soggy lump of paper.
Starting on Friday: hotel room, Peak-to-Peak tickets (mountain sightseeing), and various presents for Hubby's birthday. Fun weekend!
