This. In the later seasons of the show, he was just about the perfect doctor. Kind, caring, listened to his patients, non-judgmental, expertly skilled and gifted, extraordinarily bright and always pushing and looking to the cutting edge of medicine...

And if I remember correctly, The Doctor was at least in part based off of him. I can't think of the name of the episode right now, but I remember Picardo guest starring as the guy who created The Doctor to "study" Bashir.

Having said this, I believe they are all good doctors that would do a good job.

I chose Beverly but McCoy would be ok too. Where's Pulaski?

    Not Phlox...

He'd tell me that I have a genetic abnormality and tell me that I'm fated to die even though a couple aspirin would likely due the trick.

And he can get you contraband Romulan Ale, too. He's the complete package.

I voted for Phlox. When I originally watched Enterprise, I thought he was annoying. But when I rewatched some of it a couple years ago, I was pleasantly surprised by how good his bedside manner was.

I'd like Bashir to work on me.

    Oh.
    Wait.
    I misunderstood the question.
    Nevermind.

I'll take 24th century medical tech over a good bedside manner any day ;)

I think McCoy has the most savoir faire.

That was "Doctor Bashir, I Presume" but that was two years after Voyager left. Zimmerman was studying him for the Mark 2 but thanks to that genetic engineering incident, he went with Andy Dick.

I say Starfleet made a bad call there.:p

I'd be more worried about him chatting about my medical records with anyone curious, taking my DNA and cloning a transplant being or deciding my affliction is part of my nature life cycle and letting me die. ;)

If it's possible for 22nd-24th century fictional doctors to treat a 21st century live human, it should be equally possible for the 22nd century doc to have acquired the knowledge and technology of his 23rd and 24th century successors. :p

On the other hand, R. Star's points are a bit worrisome. ;)

If it's something serious then I'm going to the EMH. He's the best doctor on the list. Plus, he doesn't tire, make stupid mistakes, etc., etc.

If it was for something relatively minor it probably wouldn't matter whom I chose.

I expected Crusher to be in the top 3 for some reason.

Strictly in terms of odds of survival I'd have to go with The Doc.

Plus he's got a cute fez. On occasion.

My vote would still go to Pulaski, who seemed by far the most competent of the lot, in terms of usually not having to seek for the answer from farther than her own publications. "VISOR bothering you? I could give you eyes, you know. No? Okay, forget it. ...I can make you forget, too, you know."

Out of the actually available choices, Bashir is fine. Sure, he's probably a bit too excited about me being ill, but that's better than bored (usually), and he's used to working with little equipment; if he were ever to treat me, it'd probably happen in the 21st century because he has better access to time machines, but his access to protoplasers, dermal regenerators and sterility fields might get limited by that.

On a day to day basis I think I'd have to go with Bones or The Doctor.

In terms of who I'd want operating on me if I were to require surgery or serious medical attention I'd definitely go with The Doctor or Bashir.
