i think it would have been more interesting if that character had become The Crimson Avenger instead...but i thought the annual was pretty good.

 

I love the fact that he's hopped up on Miraclo.

Indeed. That's essentially what Rich is saying. I wonder what other changes will happen editorial wise for DC in the coming weeks and months as the big move happens?

I didn't read the Earth 2 Annual, but I did read the issue that serves as a prelude to the crossover in Batman/Superman where Huntress and I think Power Girl make contact with Bruce and Clark. I thought it was a pretty good issue. I'm looking forward to the arc.

 

Aquaman #27 - I'm pleased with how Parkers initial arc is going so far. No compelling reason for anyone to leave the title over quality anyway. Artwork is still good as well but my minor gripe was that the shape of Mera's face seemed to be longer, more oval here.

Justice League Dark #27 - I'm so lost cause I'm not reading the main event.

 

Its not all that involved with the main event.

 

it does help to read Phantom Stranger and Pandora.

 

Rich is saying that Geoff Johns is going to write "Superman" monthly ahead of whatever their plans with John Jr are. This excites me as Johns is the one writer who brought back to the character after a long hiatus comic wise.

Well that is great news. It ties in nicely with Luthor as part of the Justice League.

 

Well alright, I'm down with Johns on Superman. I know he gets a lot of hate from some fans, but I've always felt he's one of the very best writers DC has right now.

 

Johns has certainly been the highlight of the new 52 so far.

 

I was very disappointed when Johns left Superman at the start of New Krypton. I felt the writing was lacking on that storyline which was a great idea on paper.

 

Yeah the other writers did their best to pick up on Johns plotted arc, but it wasn't quite the same without him. This also obviously means that Lobdell's run will be ending soon.

 

Should have happened along time ago. I'm sure they'll toss Lobdell a bone somewhere else. Perhaps one of the Bat or Lantern books.

 

The market is clamoring for another Batman book

 

I'm thinking one of the pre-existing ones now that Marts is off the Batbooks as editor.

 

Lobdell seems to be their "patch it up" guy since the relaunch. I dunno what book they would give him to work on right now. Maybe he will be writing whatever they're going to do with Nightwing? *Shudders*.

 

I think you mean mess-things-up guys. Other than Red Hood his other two books have been pretty bad that they had to get Johns to fix up his mess on Superman and relaunch Teen Titans.

Maybe he'll write the new spinoff book with Dick or replace Tomasi on Batman &...
