His romance with Jadzia did allow Bashir to stop pining for her and develop as a character but I felt Worf's addition gave the show more of an edge and I really enjoyed watching his character to grow.
Just read the Voyager related parts of this Moore interview http://www.lcarscom.net/rdm1000118.htm As much as I enjoy Voyager (my fav series next to TNG) I`ve to say that Moore is right in many points. (I`m sad to say this). But I always will love this series with all of it`s problems. The main reason because I love Voyager so much is the great cast. And I`m glad to read that Moore tells the same.
I felt Voyager was just a reboot of TNG in many ways. Had the writers done long arcs like DS9 or even the new BSG that was on Scifi, I think the show could have been awesome. Instead it was just okay. I think there was a lot of missed opportunities. Some of those missed chances were addressed in the printed anthology however. Overall though Voyager to me is okay. I love DS9 and really like TNG and Enterprise, Voyager is a distant third.
No, there are 172 episodes of Voyager. Unless... that was sarcasm and it went right over my head LOL.
I disagree. I think the Kazon offered a very interesting twist for the crew. Here they are, thrown light years away, surrounded by enemies who have a tiny bit of advanced weaponry and technology, but are mainly a coupe of centuries behind technology wise, unlike in the Alpha Quadrant were all the parties tend to be on equal footing. The Kazon were an interesting mix of the Klingons and Pakleds: intelligence, but low technology and thirsting for higher tech. Plus the Kazon also allowed for two additional subplot lines to run featuring Seska and Paris-Jonas.
But he also covers many of the shows flaws, a fair few people would agree with his assessment As with many things there can be positives as well as negatives.
I like the Kazon. I find the whole idea about them a good one. It has happened before that after an opressor is overthrown, the different organizations who have fought for freedom then start to fight each other and the area turns to lawless land. This includes the struggle for technological speriority which could lead to one sect taking control over the others. Not to mention that we had a fantastic pair of villains in Culluh and Seska!
I like Voyager. It might be my second favourite series after TOS - depending on the day of the week (it's either Voyager or Enterprise). Voyager has a lot more of that TOS feeling of fun and adventure, which was so sorely lacking (IMO at least) in TNG and DS9. TOS had a strong core cast whose interactions kept even the worst stories watchable. Voyager comes close with Janeway, The Doctor and Seven. I kept watching to see what they would do next.
^I thought Tom was great until "Basics". I wanted him to be a badass rebel, not an undercover goody two-shoes.
In World of Warcraft you can type /played and it will tell you how many hours you have spent playing on that character. It can be truly horrifying. OF course we don't need that with Trek if we know how many times we've watched a series through all the way. Also for some of us truly horrifying, if you're the sort of person that values productivity.
