Yeah, I've seen porno start like that episode ended. Two women innocently drinking wine while lying on a mattress. Not a great ending.

    Hometown Glory:

    Hmmm...

I was confused by what Angela knew  and didn't know about the father of Lydia's baby up until the part where she went ballistic.

    Guess she didn't know.

At least Mama Rizzoli didn't try to off her 2 kids & 1 adopted kid because they were protecting her from the truth. I did like it when Angela protested that such protection made her feel less than adult.

I know we have to deal with the "grandchild vs child of my rat ex husband" story line quickly in a 15 (?) ep season, but I would have preferred more Frankie/Frost or Frankie/Jane interaction, showing how close he was to the dead man.

Did we find out why the manager was in the dead girl's room? Just to give her the bad news about Shane and the crack to off herself???

    Did she off herself???

    Do we care???

I guess i was confused about more than just Angela this week. :alienblush:

Looks like we get a break next week before the midseason finale.

Mid season finale: Melt your Heart to Stone:

    [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIQq-OgkY_U[/yt]

Decent ep, even if it was obvious who the bad guy was going to be.

We got great Rizzles banter, we got some closure (?) to the Ludia/Baby storyline, we discovered our suspicions about one bad lady proved to be right (undercover all the way!)

All in all, it was ok. Just didn't like it when Maura's backbone turned to mush so easily, early in the ep.

They must not have that big of a budget because the killer always turns out to be the main and nearly only guest star. Most procedural shows have several main guest stars which makes it a little harder to figure out whodunnit.

This show has a severe case of "small world" syndrome. I predict the next serial killer will be related to Frost in some way.

This show is I just wish it would lean torwards the books more. And if they are going to do a serial killer can we have more than one episode before he is caught, please.

Anyone watching since the second half of the season started?

Really liked this week's show, especially the way Angela is torturing Jane and Frankie!

At least we don't have to worry about Korsak dating Angela anymore. ;)

Interesting murder this week, I was surprised they were able to tie them all together. :bolian:

I also loved the R&I banter... and Jane's despair over being promoted to "hall monitor".

No big surprise on who the killer was. The lack of characters to chose from each episode makes the killer's ID too easy to figure out. Usually cops shows have several different suspects. R&I usually has one or two.

Not only am I loving Angela this half of the season, I'm loving the way Jane connected with her. Like Jane, I'm hoping Angela and Rondo don't get hooked up.

Laughed when he called Jane "Vanilla" and her mother, "Mrs. Vanilla".

After watching it I went back to the murder and realized that clues were planted there about the killer's ID. Usually I don't catch clues like that even on a rewatch so it was a rather pleasant discovery on my part.

The autotheft detective was such a douche that I knew Angela wasn't into him at all. I liked when Cavanaugh blasted him for not knowing what country porches come from.

Not being much of a multiplayer online gamer, I wondered if the indictment against the mesmerized hardcore gamer at the end would draw an outcry. Then I remembered a story (?Taiwan?) about a couple who played so long at an internet cafe their baby died in the stroller next to them from neglect/starvation.

I wonder if google translate does runes? If so, then Jane could have avoided the snorefest with the college professor. :p

    "Over Under"

Well, I'm glad they explained the title of the episode during the show, since I'm ignorant of such things.

Over all, a good ep with lots going on, between Frost's Mom and step mom to be, Casey's risky surgery and Maura's angst over pushing Jane to do something Casey doesn't want her to do, and the unusual murder.

And for those who can't get enough of R/I... a wonderful clinch in the end.

I knew Frost's mothers's roommate was her partner as soon as they were introduced. I liked that Frost knew and was just waiting for his mother to tell him. I was worried that he would be totally clueless and upset that she never told him. I'm glad that they avoided that cliche.

Season 3's finale "No More Drama in My Day"

Or... maybe "Can't fit anymore drama in this Day." ;)

Interesting underlying theme.. how far would you go to save someone / save yourself?

Jane listens to Maura's concerns and decides to try and "save" Casey by talking him out of his "magical thinking" operation.

Angela tells Hope there's no shame in going to any extreme for those she loves.

Hope refuses to take Maura's brushoffs and faces humiliation to try and save the daughter she raised by asking for a kidney of the daughter she denied.

Frankie and Jane try several times to run into the collapsing building to save their brother and nephew, not to mention Jane's partner.

Jane and Maura DO sneak into a tunnel under the collapsing building for those very reasons.

    They all had choices...

Maura chose to ignore Hope's request until she realized that she was willing to sacrifice herself for Frost and Tommy and TJ... so why not her blood sister?

And in the end.. even Casey has a choice, one he must make for himself. Live for him half a life or make a desperate grasp for a whole one.

I almost hope he survives and walks again. I even hope he's strong enough to walk away from Jane next year since she couldn't see/understand his pain much less support his choice.

I especially liked having greed/corporate shennanigans be the bad guy this week instead of yet another serial killer.

Now, I just need to wait for season 4 to start this summer.

Over all, despite its weak points, I'm still enjoying this show.

I was surprised that other than Casey's fate that there was no cliffhanger at all.

After two serious cliffhangers in the first 2 seasons, I don't mind not having a third. :)

We have the set up for the kidney transplant in next season. Although we see some healing between Hope and Maura, we also see no improvement between Maura and her sister since they are still hiding Maura's involvement in the transplant. :alienblush:

Interesting to me, we also see a very vocal opinion from Jane on the subject and I expect to see that opposition continue next season. Maura has admitted she's too nice and always does "what's right" which Jane is well aware of and so tries to protect Maura from herself. :klingon:

I also really hope we see Maura's FATHER next season. I really loved it when she protested Hope's description of Paddy as her father. I think its high time for us to see her adoptive father, and I can't think of a better time for him to show up than just as she's about to go under the knife. :scream:

I also was surprised that Frost, of all people, admitted to having a crush on Jane. (I really thought it was their other partner Korshak (?) who was crushing on BOTH Rizzoli women. )
