Thanks. I am usually a lousy photographer (reason why I am mostly a lurker in this thread), but this shot practically took himself.
I was chuckling at that, too. From what I read, it had been sitting there for a couple of weeks before HEK TAD got around to arting it. Someone told about watching the #eastriverpiano hashtag to see which street artist would be first. Also has its own Twitter account: @EastRiverPiano
That's awesome. I had no idea that it was a "thing" (though, I should have expected it). Thanks for sharing those! Saga, those are some fantastic photos. I love that you've got both the macro (water beads on the leaf) and the landscaped shots of the clouds. Nice! iguana_tonante, generally speaking a "lousy photographer" doesn't take shots like that. It looks like it belongs in a coffee table book, or something. Or put another way: Sure, nature gave you the opportunity. But you managed to perfectly capture the moment. In my experience (having missed that moment more times than I'd like to admit) that's no small feat.
Thank you. I like taking pictures, but I usually manage to snap half-blurred pictures of people making weird faces. And I rarely have a camera with me. But recently I upgraded to a smartphone (yeah, I still had a dumbphone until a couple of weeks ago), so maybe it will help me to snap more pics. But if I go all Instagram on you, for the love of God, end me.
I've owned cats since I was about two years old. If one's ever looked impressed about anything that doesn't involve a full bowl of food I don't think I've seen it.
That's because you've slayed the beast! Anyhoo, you look great in that kilt, TT! /rawr Love the Riverside, Iowa pics! The Horta car had me chuckling. Also, it's not fair that Iguana gets to live in Italy, and I have to live in Ohio. Someone should make him trade.
Please do all of that (except the Instagram)! It looks like you've got a great eye for capturing the scene around you, and if your phone can help you do that, I'm sure we'd all love to see the results! On the topic of capturing the moment, this was taken out of the window on the car ride home from upstate New York this evening (no, I wasn't the one driving, lol):
Yeah, but you use it as an art form ... as opposed to ... what it's usually used for. This photo being Exhibit #1138. It's really fantastic, iconic even.
Thanks! In honour of Canada Day I will post this classic from 1989. I had just finished high school and wanted to get a picture of me and the mural I painted at school. You may all proceed to laugh your asses of now.
