Man, what the hell? Quinto looks great in every single movie still, but awful in all the magazine photos. Stupid airbrushers! :klingon:

Is anyone else getting a Widgets vibe from that viewscreen? That thing in the corner makes me think of the little translucent calender that's on the corner of my desktop.

I wasn't to sure about the look of the bridge at first, but I am starting to like it more and more. I really like the idea of the bridge screen having a HUD.

Looks great - I'm with the view, it's a window with a HUD overlay.

Well, Star Wars really was a much better movie. Trek was just too darned smart for Abrams.

    If I may point out...

If you look here the front of the bridge on the outside appears to be solid hull.

Perhaps the exterior hull slides away to show the window and the HUD comes up. When the window is covered by the exterior hull there is just a view screen there. Maybe?!:vulcan:

I just hope space combat in the new movie is conducted at highway speeds at ranges of less than a mile. That was by *far* the best change from the old show. Nothing says "the future" like battle at slingshot range.

These uniforms are actually two pieces. The black shirt is worn first, then the colored one is pulled over that. So what we see Kirk wearing is when he's taken off the gold overshirt.

    Holy shit!!!

Where in the name of holy hell did you find this? Is this official?

Agreed - not to mention "futuristic" weapons that do as much damage as modern artillery shells.

Where did that picture come from? It looks like it's from the trailer, but I just watched it and can't find that shot.

TJ, maybe I missed something but where'd that picture come from?

EDIT: It seems I'm not the only one who hasn't seen this image.

I'm not sure whether to be worried about Abrams 'Galaxy Quest' comments. 'Galaxy Quest' was both a valid commentary on some of the more ludicrous qualities of Trek but also on its virtues.

I do think Spock looks very airbrushed in every image, and not quite yellow/green enough. Also, I agree that they should have taken an image with Kirk in gold for some of the promo shots, just for us.

And my official viewscreen vote is holotank with a camera view from outside the bridge tower.

I would guess that the above picture is a fan extrapolation based on the trailer since it looks a little more CGI than the trailer and the ship looks like it's more complete than it was in the trailer too (no more panels need to be welded on). It looks pretty great though.

I'm petty sure it's a still of the trailer... I think... It was part of the first batch of pics to be released. :D

If the Enterprise is running on Vista we're doomed!

Sulu- Sir shall I engage the flip 3D on the viewscreen?
