You should do it more often! For years I never drew in pen, or if I did, I'd draw in pencil first and trace over it. When I finally ditched the pencil and eraser for straight ink I found the opposite of what I expected to be true: I felt freer, more in control, and happier with my work. Now I do all my drawing in Uniball, and I've only used a pencil for art once in the past 3 years, and that was because the scale of the piece is so large. Ink's the best!

This is true. I'm a dinogeek myself from my early childhood and had a very deep obsession with them - I just didn't notice the feet until after I'd posted that response. :p

Here, I was going through some old drawings because I'm thinking of starting a diabetes blog and wanted to use a doodle I did a few years ago when I was feeling a bit glum, and I found the first picture I did just with ink and no pencil, an astronaut (I was doodling in a psychology class and only had a pen). Embrace the ink, Rojo, it's seriously freeing!

And this is the doodle I wanted to find for my blog, like yours, it was done in a fit of insomnia:

Thank you. It's a little on the nose, but that's what diabetes often feels like.
    As you should.

I went on another Welcome Home escort for a Marine and Navy corpsman who just came home from Afghanistan. Was flipping through the photos that were taken and found this one. I'm on the red bike in the foreground. Facebook cover photo status. :)

One of our local beer bars hosted a pumpkin-themed tap takeover. Lots of seasonal pumpkin ales were available from a variety of different breweries, and they even served the beer in little pumpkins!

tsq's drawing talents are fantastic. I'm tempted to ask her to draw people from this board if she has photos of them.
