Unfortunately, it doesn't, at least according to this:

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Fleet_Advancement_System

I'm surprised they didn't make a retrofit version of the regular heavy escort available in the fleet system, just to make it competitive at end game.

Well it took a few million EC but the House of TrekBBS will soon have a tier 2 shipyard. I'm looking forward to getting a Fleet Tor'Kaht.

Shipyard - I'll take a look to see what I can donate.

Con - There is a small Con near me in 22-23 June. It's called Science Fiction Days but will have some Star Trek and Star Wars things. We are planning to attend on the 22nd and perhaps the 23rd. I plan to go as Spock and my daughter as a Sith (yeah, that surprised me too...)

Should have double checked, you are right. No Akira fleet refit.

But there is a fleet escort we gain access to instead... it's just the Defiant instead. :)

The Embassy T1 upgrade is running.
    Faster than I anticipated actually.
Thank you to all the donors.

Though it takes over 4 days until it's finished. This is a major step towards top ground kits and special science consoles for everyone and other stuff of course.

I changed my Romulan character from Maiell to Runa FYI. So I was wondering if I could ask a few questions as I know very little about fleets and how to help.

I've earned a few "Fleet marks." What do they do and how do I use them?

And how do you chip in to the Fleet starbase? What does it let players do that we don't have?

Well, next time you are in game, check out the fleet holdings in the fleet menu.

You will find projects there that are used to progress the Fleet base and embassy (future holdings will be added, my personal guess for the next one is a dilithium refinery).

Each project requires different kinds of contributions to be completed. the most important one, as it's exclusively used for fleet projects are fleet marks (also gives you the highest return in fleet credits).
Other contributions are dilithium and depending on the project doffs, commodities, data samples or gear like photon torpedos.

Every contribution gives you fleet credits in return which you need to buy special fleet gear.

We have exclusive vendors on the fleet starbase and embassy that allow you to buy high quality gear, consumables, buffs etc.

You can also get slightly higher quality starships which are not exactly cheap, though.
While they don't need much fleet credits (relatively speaking) you need to have fleet ship modules which you can buy on the c-store or from the exchange, and those are pricey).

Other than that, the more we progress the fleet base/embassy the more it becomes a fully equipped social hub which can at the end service your entire needs you only find on other starbases at the moment.

Right now we are a mid level fleet on the verge of updating our base to T3 (of five tiers) and our first upgrade of the embassy is under way.

We have a new round of projects going, still plenty of contributions to be made, including fleet marks.

I should get in game tonight, so I'll see what I can put towards the open project. I'd love a fleet Mogai for my Romulan once she makes the level cap.

Thanks for explaining. Next time I log in either as Mikoto or Runa I'll check it out and see what I can contribute.

When ya get in late in the game it's usually down to expensive doffs... They need to make these a bit cheaper, I'm tired of being broke! :rommie:

that's a good point. I've donated what i could recently but I really don't have duty officers lying around to spare.

Make sure to keep going to the academy and doing the doff requisitions. If you keep that up, you'll be overflowing in white doffs (and on occasion get a green, or even blue!). I'm not sure if it works for feddies or klinks, but the rommies can do it twice - once at NR, and once at your ally's academy. Ever since they severely increased the dil cost for the doff grinders, pretty much the only thing those white doffs are good for (especially once you have a ton of greens and blues to actually do doff missions) are donating to the fleet.

And don't forget you can buy doffs on the fleet base for fleet credits as well and donate them right back into the fleet projects. The embassy also allows you to get doffs.

I keep forgetting to do this. Could someone in the House of TrekBBS send Kaeso@Vendikarr an invite?

I'll be getting one of these too. Fleet ship modules are ready to go. But I'll probably mix the parts together to make something more unique.

I'm also looking forward to hitting T3 on engineering and getting phasers that likeactually look like wich is good for making sort of TOS inspired alts.
