And, as Mark Millar has said that Kick-Ass 3 will be moving the story ahead 10 years, we'll be getting a "Buffy with a foul mouth" version of the character eventually anyway. So why rush things?

Of course, one good thing about that is that it will give Chloe and Mindy a chance to catch up to each other again before the final movie.

I think the Hit Girl of Kick-Ass 3 will be more Hannibal Lecter with tits considering the end of Kick-Ass 2. :)

"Buffy with a foul mouth" could work. But what made Hit-Girl so funny and entertaining was because she was a per-pubescent middle-school girl with a foul mouth who could kick ass. A teenaged version of that could work but loses the obvious novelty of her being a child and just another foul-mouthed angsty teen.

Hopefully by then people will like her character because of who she is, and not because she is a "novelty."

Dude, it's her novelty that sets her apart from other action heroes. What's wrong with enjoying the novelty of the character?

^ That's precisely what she is supposed to be. A novelty character who through Millar is able to get across his social commentary :) which I believe he does just fine.

Spoiler-coded for those waiting to read it in trade.

I think that it would be high-larious if Mindy finds God while in prison and spends KA3 dispatching bad guys with bullets and an appropriate bible quote.

I've read the preview. It's pretty harsh. Certainly will be a strong way to open the movie.

Leguizamo, eh? Not bad. Playing The Motherfucker's bodyguard. Kinda slim to be the big fat bearded guy. Well at least he'll bring the yuckity-yuk-yuks.

This article from Deadline is actually about the Leguizamo casting, but it also confirms Nicholas Cage's return as well.

Well didn't he play that flat clown in the Spawn movie? Of course I'm sure the character in the movie doesn't have to be fat. I never thought of him as that important of a character anyways.

I mean I've read the book twice and still had to recall who he was, lol.

Mark Millar announces the creation of a Facebook page for the movie. However, at present, the link he supplied doesn't work.

Update: Here is a direct link. Millar forgot to put the number "2" in his link.

No he doesn't have to be. I just find a big, burly Mickey Jones looking henchman more threatening than a lanky beanpole like Leguizamo. I'm surprised they cast a well known guy to play that character anyway. I'd cast him as Colonel Stars of Justice Forever.

The first one has the sequel teaser banner though. :)
