I have all 10 on my Kindle, not sure what to do with all the old paperbacks now. But since it's a "saga" it's not one entire series, but rather several series.

    Books
    1-6: The Farlands
    7-9: Malourne
    10-12: The current one

It's a bit of an undertaking at this point, leave plenty of time to read it.

When I got my Kindle I let my friends know I was getting rid of the books so I've divided the horror selection up amongst most of them so I'll just let them have most of them. You never get any decent money back off books.

Does anyone know if the Bitten series by Kelley Armstrong features Vampires at some point, and if so is it worth bothering with them?

^It's actually The Otherworld series, and it does have some vamps, although they don't appear to play big role in the series. I haven't gotten around to reading any of the books, but I do plan on starting it once I get through more of The Hollows and The Dresden Files.

Thanks, I didn't know if there was a name for it, I've only read "Bitten" at this point and wasn't impressed.

Timothy: are you watching "Lost Girl" on syfy? It strikes me as right down your alley . . . .

(No vampires yet, but the heroine's a succubus, which is probably close enough!)

    Saw the movie yesterday, fantasic.

^I didn't know much about the Fay either but both main book series I read (Dresden/Noble Dead) have them as the driving force for the story so they're being used a lot more in modern fiction, I've grown fond of them as a mythical race in stories.

I haven't seen any of True Blood season 4 yet but I heard the Fae and even Queen Mab turn up. Nearly every story before has shown her to be a completely inhuman dark demi-goddess of great power, hopefully TB keeps that theme.
