I LOVE THESE!!! My Dora does the same thing ...rolls on her back with a toy in her mouth. It's just the image of sheer joy!
We had to put one of our cats down last week, and I wasn't planning on getting another so soon, but I saw this little guy with the cat rescue people at Petsmart and I had this gut feeling that he was supposed to come home with us. His name is Leo, and he's really sweet and mellow. He's four years old.
Nerdius, thats so great! It's especially awesome that you gave an adult cat a home. Everyone always goes straight to the kittens. I wish your family and Leo a long happy life together!
Smoothie, your little girl and your big boy both are just adorable! And, I don't mean this to be a downer, but today is a special day of sorts, and it seemed appropriate to share here with all my fellow pet lovers. Two years ago today we lost our first lab to cancer. He was an amazing guy and my best friend for 5 years, 5 all too short years. I'll never forget him. Rest in peace, my Handsome Mr. Lou.
They're two different dogs, the first one is Gomez, he's about 13-14 years old. The other one is Milton, he's about 6-7 years old. Don't know the exact age since they're both rescue dogs. Gomez was hit by a car and has a gimpy leg and had many of his teeth knocked out. Milton was in bad shape when I got him, he was sick and covered in scratches, the folks at the shelter didn't think he'd make it. But they're both doing great now, very happy and very loving little guys.
Turns out he's kind of a jerk, though. He pushes our other cat away from the food bowl. I have to hold him to give her a chance to eat.
Reviving this thread since it is probably the more appropriate one for me to post pics of the girls rather than Esme's birthday thread (happy birthday again you gorgeous girl you!) We had friends from RI visit last weekend and they brought their Jack Russell named Jake. Jake is a hoot and so freaking cute! The first few minutes were touch and go, but once they all got to sniff each other they enjoyed the rest of the day together. Three terriers in search of .......something. Jake the Jack. This dawg is so freaking cute. I wants this dawggie!
Good call YR! I'm off on a weeklong Canadian camping trip starting tomorrow, and am bringing the beasties along. I'll have plenty of shots of Labradors in Labrador to post when I get back.
Video taken of Zoe, who clearly has issues with the garden hose. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px2RS3YC-30[/yt] SMOOTHIE, did you have a nice camping trip and did you take any pics of the beasties?
Aww, that's cute! My black lab Mayra does that too. She loves water. Here she's in her usual prone position:
