I saw the pics and don't know what feature you are referring to

His lower right leg shinplate. It's no longer the silver-colored panel that he wore throughout the Original Trilogy. He got a new gold replacement at some point after Return of the Jedi, but it looks like he lost and had to replace his left arm so it was a wash. :)

Funko has done at least one other 3PO figure without that detail. If you notice, he doesn't have a restraining bolt either despite it appearing on the box art (in this and other releasers of that figure).

Sounds like something that will lead to a novel trilogy for a fleshed out explanation!

It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case and Threepio still has the sliver leg plate. Toy companies take shortcuts all the time to reduce production costs and they might not have wanted to add any silver paint or sculpt a restraining bolt.

Although I still hope it has been fixed and it's gold now. It'd look shinier and better with the new red arm.

It would be funny if his leg was finally fixed only to have something happen to his arm.

That was my first thought after seeing the Funko Pop! image.

"Threepio finally got his leg plate fixed, then turned around and lost an arm. Poor guy."

Lots of 5POA and I'm not seeing removable helmets, but it all still looks pretty cool.

Yeah, the articulation and accessories leave something to be desired but at least they're a visual and aesthetic improvement over the Black Series and other 3.75" figures and their packaging that have been in stores the past two years. They definitely look a lot more exciting and this is the kind of packaging that the Star Wars toy license needs, especially when a new movie is about to hit.

Nabbed these on facebook. Thought I'd rather post them than deluge the poor guy with massive hits for TBBS.

    And likenesses, too.

That's a pretty good-looking Poe Dameron, and the paint apps and proportions look better.

I magnified the image below and they still dont give the last names of Ren and Finn.. On Rey it says (Starkiller Base) and Finn says (Jakku)

The Darth Vader, the two Lukes and the Boba Fett are straight repacks of recent 5-POA figures, only this time with armor and other gear and in bigger (and more expensive) deluxe packaging. They all look cool, though, and these new TFA cardbacks are so much more eye-catching than the current Hasbro Star Wars packaging that's in stores!
