I just got the retail version of the deep space nine station for the attack wing game. It comes with a round plastic base with pegs for the base but the pegs and holes do not line up. Anyone have this and been able to fix it?
I have no experience with the DS9 model, but there are some tips you can try out. First, there is usually only one right way to put the rod into the base--this insures that forward is consistently defined on all models. If that is not the problem, you can put the stands into the freezer a few minutes before assembling the entire model, or you can briefly submerge it in hot/boiling water and then iced water, before inserting into the base.
So, you have to assemble this model? I ask, because I don't play the game, but I've heard it's a gorgeus model and as a Niner, I've been considering buying it. It's this one, right? http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Attack-Wing-Expansion/dp/B00OQ21CZK
If it is like other Attack Wing products, no. The gamepiece should have a removeable stand, which is what I believe the OP is having problems with.
