Ocean's Eleven doesn't make me hungry but it always makes me want to have a glass of Scotch.

I can't think of any movie that made me hungry, but Steel Magnolias put me off red velvet cake for a long time. Bleedin' armadillo cake.

I can't think of any movies that have gotten me hungry... I've tried a lot of new foods I otherwise might not have because of movies I've seen, but never actually been made hungry.

Novels and short stories are a whole different ball game though - there are times when I'm reading something and the author describes not just the food but the internal monologue of the characters eating and it is just visceral.

Waitress. That one gets to me too. I've never seen a pie diner before but the one in that movie was cool.

Vegans tend to be lower in fat content.

Oh yes, Keanu Reeves and Nathan Filion; enough to make any woman hungry!

A wonderful film, watching her at work was marvelous!

Speaking of Danish film; here's another one I can't watch without becoming a bit peckish:

The Great Race...there's a scene where a huge pie throwing fight breaks out. Tony curtis walks through the whole fight and doesn't get any pie on him. it always makes me hungry for pie.

    Hook!

That scene at the table in Neverland when they're imagining an enormous feast. Those colourful pie things always made me hungry!

That scene in Jurassic Park where the kids are in the visitor's center and see that buffet table with the best looking food and desserts! Sure, it's after the queasy goat leg/T-Rex munching scene. Fast forward through that...!

Anyone else can't wait to see Jurassic Park next year in the theaters? :)

Oh yeah! Me too! I always wanted to eat that as a kid!

Does it bug anyone else when there's an eating scene, and the food's all laid out, but because of the dialogue/ensuing action, the food never gets eaten? That distracts me to the point of not being able to focus on what's going on after that. EAT YOUR FOOD! YOU ALREADY SET IT ALL OUT!

that doesn't bother me much, but I really hate it when there's a food fight scene. With so many people starving (even in "1st world" countries), it's setting the absolutely wrong example for kids.

How much of that food is real though? They usually have people throwing cream pies because they're made of shaving cream and not real cream.

    "Twister"

    The movie, not the game.

You know...that breakfast scene? With the steak and eggs? And the woman not only cooked it all, but packed it to go? Hubby wanted to marry her for her fast thinking and great care in feeding people under pressure. I just got hungry for steak and eggs.

I forgot about Twister! Steak and eggs- yum!

ETA- Just remembered Julie and Julia! I wanted to try every recipe from Mastering the Art of French Cooking when I got home. My sister gave me a copy later, and though I haven't tried every recipe from it, I've gone through several. The big one I had to try was Julia's Boeuf Bourguignon. I've pretty much mastered that one.

Lots of TV shows and movies make me hungry for whatever they're eating.

    TV

    - I once went to McDonald's to get some chicken fajitas after an episode of House where House was eating Mexican food.

    - I made an omelet after hearing Col. Mitchell's recipe on Stargate SG-1.

    - I made a steak dinner and a breakfast after seeing the same on Dexter.

    Movies

    - I got myself a bag of Doritos after returning Secret Window to the video store. Johnny Depp's character was eating the stuff in the movie.

    - Just two weeks ago I prepared myself a steak dinner with small potatoes and asparigus after seeing Denzel Washington eat the same thing in Flight.

Someday, I'd like to try Robert Rodriguez' Sin City breakfast tacos.

Yeah, I don't like that either.
