I'm playing through Halo: Combat Evolved again. I also ordered a copy of Batman: Arkham City (Game of the Year Edition).
Far Cry 2 in preparation for Far Cry 3. Only, knowing what happens from having played it before, this time I'm brutally murdering all my buddies in cold blood. I feel a little bad about the three girls in it, mind you...
Aren't the Growlanser games great? It's like if Baldur's Gate were a JRPG. I don't know why games have moved in the direction of controlling one character and having any other characters be AI controlled, but nothing is more satisfying in RPGs than controlling your full party strategy. That's what RPGs are about IMO. Different characters, all with different roles in battle, all of them under your full control. Assassin's Creed is a little disappointing, but a good game. So far doing way too much escorting and far too little assassinating. And they took far too much from Arkham City brawling, combat is feeling far less natural.
After finishing Sleeping Dogs and loving the experience of laughing along with a game again, I decided to replay Anachronox. Had to repurchase it from Gog as it turns out I've lost my original discs. But the repurchased version has all the unofficial patches too, so it's no bad thing and it was less than £4. It's 10 years old, so the graphics are very ropey, but the humour and writing more than makes up for it. It's one of the few games to ever genuinely make me chuckle. Why don't more games go for humour instead of trying to be serious/epic? I love games that make me laugh.
Fallout: New Vegas (Ultimate Edition, modded with Project Nevada) Planetside 2, (as Vanu, joined up with Azure Twilight)
I know Quake 4 is an old game but could somebdz tell me how can i fix the save games? They simply aren't showing up as loads after i save.
Picked up The Witcher 2 on the last day of Steams Thanksgiving sale. It creaks a little, as my pc is just a few tics above the minimum requirements, but I'm enjoying it so far, now that I'm finally gettign the hang of the controls. I'm about an hour in, having only just escaped the castle dungeons.
Well, I recently rented Saints Row 3. The bright spot for me was the music. And that's about it. My main gripes: 1. In the Matrix trilogy, Neo would fight one, then a larger group, then a whole army of Agent Smiths. That's what I felt was happening in this game. 2. The graphics weren't great. There were clipping issues. The characters, for me, weren't attractive. 3. I didn't understand what the map was telling me. I started in one area, and over time that area became more purple. Did that mean I was claiming land, or was I losing land? I didn't get pass the first two missions, before deciding this game wasn't for me. This game, and the game I rented before, Call of Duty: Black Ops II left me feeling meh. I am hoping that the next game is more enjoyable.
Welcome aboard sir! Do track down the Minecraft thread floating around here somewhere. And if by chance you get the pc version, perhaps join us on our server?
