How is it nerfed? It's an escort. They usually don't have a 4th aft weapon at all. The fused dual cannon is extra.

It may surprise you, but I'm not very familiar with escorts. Only 1 of my characters captain an escort.

Wellp, funny thing happened to me last night. I was playing "Fluidic Dynamics" last night, and I along with an NPC fleet engaged two Borg cubes. I took one on myself while the rest of the fleet fought the other. I destroyed a Cube at point blank while it was charging at me, so I turned to escape the explosion, but that second Cube came up from out of the camera and basically smushed me against the first Cube! Suffice it to say, the first Cube exploded and killed me, but I was impressed that the second Cube ran interference and blocked me in.

Very dumb, but funny nonetheless. And as always, if you want things done right, don't let NPCs do it for you! Especially if the enemy wants to hug you.

Starting at the end of the week everyone gets a new opportunity to get some special boffs as well as the Ophidian Cane of the Devidians and the Bajoran Orb of Possibilities again.

My current science captain is still missing the items so I will at least pick up those.

In addition we can pick up 15 lobi crystals per day per account which adds up to 150 lobi if you play every day.

Well my Romulan would like a purple Reman boff for free.

Are there missions where I could try to find lobi crystals? I'd rather not go down the lockbox route, and I'd like to get a jump start on the upcoming event (I'm available a few of the days, mostly weekends); but every guide I've found has their particular missions expired last year.

I have not been able to play STO for the past two days. Every time I tried to play, I'll manage to login and get to the select a character screen. When I select a character and click play, I get kicked out in 10 seconds with an "Unable to connect to game server" error. Does anyone know what's going on?

Outside of lockboxes, the only way to earn lobi crystals is the coming (annual?) Featured Episode Replay Event.

Wasn't there another event in the last few months that gave out Lobi crystals?

Its the same event. Maybe they're making it bi-annual? Bi-annual rather than annual would be a good thing :)

I have been playing the game since launch and i just noticed that, if you stand inside that Triolic enhancer the cane turns into a snake. :O

    Groovy.

Shame the 15 lobi a day is account based, character based would have been awesome.

Yes, it's the same during the Devidian missions, when the map wide triolic affect kicks in.

Ack, I honestly thought I'd get to leave early today and get home in time to join the others with the lobi missions. We gave our (phd) students an early dismissal time as a reward for five straight days of writing, but they've decided to stay for a couple more hours to get just a bit more in. If only I was this dedicated to things other than this game :)

Been about 18 months since I last played...or whenever the Ambassador reward special mission first came about. Started a new character and have to say the changes they made to the introductory missions are a massive improvement over the old taking command during the fight for Vega. Was quite impressed with it.

They added new rarities a while ago - the purple border for fleet ultra-rare, and the orange which is for unique items. I don't think it updates versions of the items you already have, though.

But you might get a second one if it counts as a different item and give one to a boff.
