He tried to route power from one eye tear support to the logical circuits, but it ended up in his vocal cords.

Do people walk around in daily life screaming "plot hole" at random things they think are wrong?

Maybe the plot hole in his other eye is blocked.

When a beloved pet or lab experiment of mine dies, I cry. But I don't always cry from both eyes at the same time. Sure, they both get a bit watery, but gravity, variances in capillary action, and the vagaries of air currents often get one leaking well in advance of the other.

Besides, you forget Spock is half human. Clearly, that was his human half crying, as ITL notes.

A lot of Trek fans tend to moan at the smallest of things but how many eyes a characters cries from must surely rank as the weirdest

    I know you're not serious.

But when you're crying, both eyes tear up and sometimes only the tear drops from one eye. Especially if you're trying to hold back the tears, happened to me at a funeral once without me realising it.

That's probably because Spock's crying was cut out completely in the original 1979 version of TMP, reinstated in the extended 1983 TV version (and later the Director's Cut).

Jeez, it didn't start with Nimoy and there's nothing remarkable about it happening in Glory along with hundreds of other films. Are you actually at all familiar with movies?

Well, I don't go for the baseball bat when a flyswatter is sufficient.

Your notion that this bit of behavior somehow has its origin in Washington's performance - or Nimoy's - is bizarrely naive, and certainly your endless film lists posted here on TrekBBS are not suggestive of either deep familiarity with cinema or any remarkable sense of discrimination.

So, presented with a topic this silly it's a fair question.
