The Ant-Man from that wave assortment is a very good figure. I don't own him and have seen him just a couple of times, but he looks like one of the most impressive of the recent Marvel Legends figures. I wish he had a removable helmet, though, with a Paul Rudd head sculpt underneath. Or at least two different and interchangeable heads, one helmeted and one with Paul Rudd's likeness.

So I'm a very weak man, I wanted to celebrate my sons first day of school. I happen to be at the mall and wondered into the Disney store. Ian has a Lightsaber already but it's Luke's green one. He is all about Darth Vader and the bad guys, so I picked up Kylo Ren's Lightsaber for him. I also picked up a big Storm Trooper for Aaron.

I was in Target today and wondered over to the Toy section. I wanted to see what the Star Wars section looked like, was surpised to see it stocked full. Now there were no Black Series or a few other things but it wasn't the decimated mess I thought it was going to be.

Besides that, they had a new display. An BB-8 figure, which just made sound. However I thought it was cool and took some video of it.

That's cool! I haven't seen that display, but then I haven't been to Target since Sunday. They may have restocked their Star Wars pegs and installed the new BB-8 display since then.

We are living in a sci-fi future when RC toys are becoming almost as articulated as Disney animatronic displays!

Though, what's up with Vader's saber? (Wait, that's just wrong!) Actually, I mean the sound effects. Some of those "swooshes" sound more like a badly played piccolo!

A really nifty concept, but I fear the functionality of these figures will be short lived. All those points of animatronic motion...triggered by direct manipulation of the arms? Something's gonna' break within days!

Still, that AT-AT is a hoot! If something like this existed right after "Empire..." was released in 1980, I can imagine some fans having used them to film miniature Hoth battles with 8mm home movie cameras. Rather than spending days on a stop-motion sequence, they could have done it "live".

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I love your mine AG collection. They are so cute. I didn't know you could get outfits for them.:)

The outfits are actually made for the Target Our Generation line, but they fit the mini AGs almost perfectly! The OG 18 inch outfits fit the regular AGs, too.

Back on Force Friday I went to the Disney store to get some figures, I got the ones I wanted except Captain Phasma Elite die cast. I immediately ordered one off the Disney website, it finally showed up today.

I wish the 3.75" Hasbro versions of Captain Phasma had that level of detail and looked that nice, although the new 6" Black Series Captain Phasma that's been found in a few stores and is now up for order online looks like one of the best toys of the character on the market. I just can't tell if the Black Series figure has a soft goods cape or molded plastic.

That's one of the most accurate replicas of Episode I Obi-Wan that I've ever seen. They nailed Ewan McGregor's facial features and hair! He looks exactly like Ewan did in the film!

Went to Target for the first time since Force Friday yesterday, and of course there are big empty spaces where the Black Series figures would be. No surprise there. They had some decent stuff, but nothing I'm personally interested in buying. Oh, and they had that neat motion-sensing BB-8 display that Tom Hendricks showed earlier.

Crappy quality sound aside, that thing's freaking awesome!

I surveyed the damage today at toysrus

All of the 3 inch figures are gone.

    One black series Finn

    Target had Finn and chewbacca

It's sad toysrus still has a greedo there rotting on the peg for months

The titanium models are addictive. I'm looking for a line falcon

It's sold in a four pack for 20 dollars

Chewbacca and Finn are going to be the pegwarmers of the new 6" Black Series wave. Chewie's the one I've seen the most often since last week and frequently the last or next-to-last one in the entire aisle.
