That wasn't the U.S.S. though, was it? And I don't think they named the "J" captain, but I could be wrong. Does April count? And what about Richard Castillo? Did he get promoted to captain when Rachael Garrett died? Thomas Halloway. (Or Holloway, I forget.) Data, Lore, Lal, B-4.
Archer, no. That wasn't the USS Enterprise. Pike and Kirk are good, and I'll count Spock (although I'm not counting the reboot). And I'm not counting the captains of the ships we never saw, and we never saw the captain of the E-J either. So you've got Pike, Kirk, Spock, Picard, Halloway (everyone usually forgets about him) and Jellico (and waiting on the names of the captains for the B and the C.) Once you get them, you'll have 8 of the 11. It's a toughy, isn't it? :P I can name four androids from the same family. Data, Lore, Lal and Julianna.
1. April 2. Pike 3. Kirk 4. Decker 5. Spock 6. Harriman 7. Garrett 8. Picard 9. Riker 10. Jellico 11. Holloway
Scotty (Changeling) Sonak (Most disturbing) Ilia Decker (Well, I guess he's still "missing") Spock (II) Tasha Yar (Skin of Evil) All of Enterprise-D Crew (Cause and Effect) Data (Time's Arrow) Picard (alternate timeline in Parallels) Captain Kirk (Generations) O'Brien (although it was his replacement) Kira (Children of Time) Trip (Enterprise) That's the best I can do off the top of my head.
Jake Sisko. Odo. Benjamin Sisko (At least, his body died.) The entire Voyager crew (then fixed via time manipulation.) Bones. nuKirk, loathe as I am to talk about it.
I probably can't do 15, but off the top of my head... Spock Valeris Saavik Jadzia Dax Ezri Dax Worf Tuvok Chell Ro Laren Sito Jaxa Vilix'Pran Melora Paslar Hoya Arex M'Ress Okay, that was easier than I expected.
There's gotta be heaps more though. I just stopped when I got to the magic number. Nog, Deanna Troi, Rixx, Taurik, Vorik, B'Elana Torres, Lon Suder... Here's a question: Name all the main characters we see playing a musical instrument, and the instrument itself.
Spock (Vulcan Lyre, and piano) Picard (Ressikan flute) Riker (trombone, piano) Data (violin) Harry Kim (clarinet) Do we count Worf singing Klingon opera? Next question: how many "real" (meaning "non-constructed") languages do we hear spoken on Trek?
I'll Add Sisko - Piano Uhura- Piano Geordi - some type of mandolin something Q-Trumpet English - French - German - and for the win, Spanish- How many times has Geordi taken command of a starship?
For "technical", are you counting the Doctor and Seven singing a duet? Uhura singing several times? For that matter, I believe Uhura played (or was forced to play) a harpsichord rather than a piano in "Squire of Gothos." I can't remember specifically: did "Kirok" play a drum instrument in the "Indian-amnesia" episode? I actually didn't know a final answer when I posted the question. When were German and Spanish spoken? (I can think of a couple of French snippets with Picard.) And, what was the language spoken by the background characters in the "Yellow Pages" scene from TVH?
^ Q and the Trelene spoke some, German. Q also spoke some Spanish, I think. Your post just reminded me of one more. English, French, German, Spanish, and Russian for the win
