Another "old" TOS fan here. I've been a fan since the early 70s, when TOS was all there was. I still love it and always will, cheesy warts and all.

Star Trek, love it, of course, none of the TNG era ever held the same appeal.

For me, TOS and the original crew is Star Trek. I continue to watch it over and over and never tire of it.

Same here! It really is a testament to the sheer genius and utter brilliance of the show that I'm watching the same 80 episodes and still absolutley loving every wonderful second of them! Just as much (if not more) as I did when I became a hardcore fan nearly thirty years ago.

Loved it (and still love it). I can sit down a watch (almost) any episode to this day and still enjoy it.

Can't say that as easily about TNG, DS9, ENT and defintely not VOY...

Err... for the vast majority of fans I'd say "really liking" the show goes hand in hand with "really liking" the episodes by default. Or are you asking if any of us "really like" Star Trek's core concepts and/or characters - but not the episodes? Please be more specific.

Its the one I am considering buying on Bluray... Unless its not really worth it over the DVD version! They had them on one of the UK Freeview channels a couple months ago, I managed to catch most of the run and it reignited my love for Star Trek (which to be honest had started to fade after seeing DS9/TNG reruns so often) and I felt like I did about 20 years (or more) ago as a youngster catching it for the first time on BBC2!

I love TOS. It and Twilight Zone were the "out there" TV shows to watch in re-runs in the late 70's and early 80's. I never missed them and can still enjoy them fully when they are on the tube.

I am reminded of the old adage, there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people who ask them.

MI and The Avengers were good but not in the same class as TOS.

M:I was at least AS good as TOS, and I would say the best M:I episodes were better than the worst TOS episodes.

Not intended to be a harmful jab, thus the winking smilie. More a joke among friends. No offence intended. Remember another old adage, don't take life too seriously because you'll never get out alive.
