Hey, everyone. My name is Gabriel Ricard. I've been a fan for fifteen years or so and found this place when I was doing some reading on the movie. Sadly, I've never been to a Trek convention (I do staff several Anime conventions along the east coast, so it's vaguely possible that I've run into some of you), and I don't own any cool memorabilia. I'm a writer, editor and stand-up comic (though I haven't done a show in ages and ages), and I suppose I'm glad to be here. And since I'm rather wretched at introductions, I'm just going to shut up and head over to the bar.
Welcome barnaclelapse! I didn't even know the redshirt lounge still had a bar! -Yeah you go there, kick some farmboy ass!
Well, the downside to being a writer is that I have to be an embarrassing drunk for some or all of my career, or ninjas break into my house and steal my computer. It's true. It's on Wikipedia and is mentioned in several chapter of The Bible. Look it up. (Nods)

Re: Hey all! Welcome. We've got a pinned intro thread right here at the top of the forum, I'll just join these up. Have fun, visit the lounge, and don't step on any exploding rocks.

With all the excitement for the new movie, I got into the discussion and forgot to do my "I'm here" post Shame on me and may I dine in Neelix's messhall from now 'till eternity. Hello board! My name is Federico, an italian expat living and working in (or better: from) London. I've been a die-hard fan of Star Trek since the distant 13th of July 1992, day when at 12 years old I saw my first TNG episode ever ("Hide and Q", yeah it was late but Italian TV sucks ). Even if that wasn't my first Star Trek episode (I had seen TOS before, here and there...) it hooked me forever and ever, and since then I avidly watched over and over again pretty much everything. I love Science-Fiction in general, both visual and written... as long as there is to imagine and dream, I'm in for it. First love being first love, TNG has a special place in my heart, but DS9 is a very close second, but I'm not squeamish, and I watch pretty much everything: I even forced myself to digest Enterprise Well, I'm enjoying my time here already and hope I will be able to share my .02cents for a long time around this shores. CIAO!
