The NX-01 has a lot of aerodynamic streamlining and pleasing curves. The Kelvin is blockier than a Scion xB. Most people interpret chunky and blocky as a visual short-hand for lower-tech and streamlined and sexy as visual short-hand for more high tech stuff.

I equate chunky and blocky with awesomeness and badassery.

Robau actually showered on those shuttles because his badass nudity strengthened morale on the ship.

And if youget past that point you will have to go through a series of humiliating and painful rituals to prove your worth to him JUST to get on the list of people being considered for joining.

I liked the outside, but not too hot about the inside.
    Or the nacelle spewing exhaust.

Other than that, I liked it.

The Kelvin is kind of a science ship on steroids. And captained by a super-badass. J.T. Esteban had a LOT to live up to...and never did.

So a Corvette looks more advanced than a Hummer?

Captain Robau likes the Kelvin just fine. Anyone that has a problem with it can take it up with him and he may take it under consideration assuming your still alive at that point.

I think the Corvette is a penis (or a penis by proxy)

And a Hummer is a 6-pack and a set of pecs.

Now we just need arms, legs, and a head and we can have a fairly politically incorrect version of that lame Vehicle Voltron.

I loved the Sugar-Free Jelly Bellies, but can no longer find them around here. They were great for satisfying my diabetic cravings.
