Another actor I remember from very early on, from Star Trek and one of my favorite Outer Limits episodes, "Soldier" (of James Cameron/Terminator fame). He was on a lot of TV shows when I was a kid, then of course he turned up on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. He was always a great presence on screen and could be seriously menacing. RIP.

The last of the three warriors has left us.

He was also the first (and perhaps only) actor to bring some dignity to the character of Mr. Freeze.

Sad news, indeed. :( I met Michael Ansara at a convention many, many years ago. He had an almost natural aura of authority, yet was a very gentle and courteous man. In a certain manner of speaking he was "the right stuff" I believe(d) great actors to be "made" of.

I will remember him as the technomage Elric character from Babylon 5 and with one of the most memorable lines in TV history, IMHO:

"As I look at you, Ambassador [Mollari], I see a great hand, reaching out of a star. The hand is your hand, and all around are billions of voices calling your name..."

    Mollari: "My followers, undoubtedly..."

    Elric: "No, your victims.
    "

Ansara's acting career spanned six decades with nearly 200 movie and TV titles to his credit. On top of that, he was married to gorgeous Barbara Eden!

Well, 91 is a pretty good run. May he rest in peace.

This clip was for Kor rather than Kang. Nonetheless, it seems appropriate to remember Mr. Ansara.

A great man with an amazing career, and I had no idea he had been married to Barbara Eden until tonight. Another sad loss :-(

Not just Kang, but he was also Kane from Buck Rogers.

And, sadly, his passing means that yet ANOTHER Babylon 5 actor has passed on.

He was also the feared "Blue Jen" in "I Dream of Jeanie." He certainly made an impact as Kang. RIP MA
