You can have your life as is, + 10 million dollars... Or live in a cave with a replicator and a couple networked PADDs?

Or does she use her magic powers to supercharge a vegetable garden as her sole source of sustenance?

Bringing Kes back could have worked but not in a manner that involved going back in time to destroy Voyager.

If they'd handled it more like the way they handled bringing Daniel back in Stargate the year he was an ascended. They could have even made her a little crazy from isolation. But it definitely should have been more a 'There is a larger threat and I need your help for some reason!' theme.

What if she came back to frakk Neelix?

"Sorry, I ment to #### him before I left but things got crazy pretty fast when I was turning into a cloud... Where's Neelix?"

    A guy does that, he's a pervert.

A woman does that, meh, whatever... Against the wall or should we look for a bed?

I'm not saying men are disgusting because I shouldn't have to.

"Lowest common denominator" when referring to an audience demographics is usually a buzzword for "men".

Women don't spend %90 of their free time passed out drunk in front of ESPN.

The only excuse they have not to be disgusting sexist pigs is laziness.

I didn't watch a whole heck of a lot of Voyager, but this episode is one I saw. I remembered Kes (too cute to forget :) ), and I remembered her hair changed, then Seven came aboard. Then Kes was gone.

This episode I didn't see the need for at all. If I were a fan of the character, this would not have been a fun watch. It'd be like bringing back Scotty in Relics, only to have him a homicidal, vengeful killer or something. What a slap to fans of the character!

Scotty was Jack the Ripper (IN SPACE!) for a little while.

He cut open a few girls for fun.

The truly disrespectful thing TNG did was insinuate that Montgomery couldn't hold his liquor.

That's true, Guy. They went a little far with that, especially to me, showing up late for the landing party. He drank, but he was as responsible as they come.

Considering how much he drank during TOS, I assumed that he would be more unreliable sober.

if it weren't for the pinwheel entity in TOS: Day of the Dove, we might interpret Scotty's hysterics on the bridge as an example of what happens when didn't have his morning Scotch. "Keep your Vulcan hands off me!"

Eh being he guzzled that whole bottle of whiskey minus the drink or two Picard had, I'd say it's amazing he showed up at all the next morning.

I didn't think it was disrespectful. The guy realized his whole life had lost meaning and in self-pity got drunk. Not classy but understandable.

Scotty: "och, ney, that's a fair tickle.. Wotch it called when it's ah home now boyo?"

    Bones "Liquidized Klingon nerve gas."

Scotty "Smooth stuff, act as a dandy mixer for some scotch dawn;'t chu think?"
