New live action "Turtles"?

Oh HELL NO! Ugh.

 

Megan Fox + Bay makes this even more trainwrecky.

 

Oh wow. The ensuing behind the scenes drama is going to be entertaining enough.

 

Maybe Megan Fox is going to play the revised April. The lab tech assistant in the new relaunch. Maybe she'll even dye her hair.

 

She'll know not to say something stupid this time.

Fox was an annoyance on the transformers sets.

^ It'd be wrong to assume that Fox is letting Bay... transform with her behind closed doors, right? I'm pretty sure that'd be wrong...

 

From a lot of her interviews, it sounds like she's just really introverted and it gets mistaken for blatant snobbishness or disinterest.

 

Yeah, that not saying hello to the crew thing strikes me as a pretty introverted trait.

Of course, comparing your boss to Hitler is just about the stupidest thing an employee could ever do. Well, unless you and your boss are neo-Nazis. There's no excuse for that.

 

This film has flop written all over it.

Frankly, Fox might be the one thing that save it.

 

I'd be very surprised if Michael Bay would actually tolerate Megan Fox back on one of his sets considering the acrimony surrounding her departure from the Transformers franchise. But then, Aaron Spelling was able to forgive Shannon Dougherty once, so I guess anything's possible.

It's entirely possible that Megan Fox could do a decent April O'Neil. But I do find it unlikely. The only times I've liked her in anything were when she was playing some variation of the dumb slut persona that she seems to be cultivating in real life as well. She was actually pretty good in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Jennifer's Body, and This Is 40. But I hated her in Transformers. Her character just lacked a certain baseline humanity. I never understood what Shia LaBeouf's character was supposed to see in her. (I much preferred that blonde Australian computer hacker from the first movie.)

As for shortening the title to Ninja Turtles, I don't know what the big deal is. I thought it was an absolutely fine title for Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.

 

In all honesty, I'm sure both Michael Bay and Megan Fox share equal blame for whatever went down between them with Transformers. Neither of them come off as particularly professional.

 

Well, evidently Bay and Fox are getting along fine now.

They Cliff Notes synopsis there read like an animated episode at best. When put into context of it being live action it also made me nauseous somewhat.
