As I've reported in the thread before @Mr. Light Hickman's grand finale is next May's "Time Runs Out".

Yeah, I know, we're routinely told about events that happen almost a year in the future

You might know if you happened to read the thread.

So this month's Guardians of the Galaxy (issue 15, not the movie prelude) was a huge tease! They put Captain Marvel on the cover and implied she was going to be showing up to rescue the Guardians...

She's nowhere at all in the issue!! And no, I didn't make a typo and really was saying she's in Knowhere, she's not in the issue at all! I know they used to do teases like this in the past, but I never thought I'd be duped by a comic book cover in this day and age.

Bendis apologizes, saying that the story changed after the cover was done. She'll show up next issue.

Well the stories were supposed to be bookended, and the Guardians did appear in Captain Marvel, but then with that writer, and that artist in control, who gives a damn.

I cannot believe how much Daredevil I own after Frank Miller left because Frank Miller was awesome but at the time I didn't understand that bad comics existed, and that bad creative teams would consistently make bad comics even with great characters.

    By the way...

    The Red Hulk is dead.

    The Thunderbolts died in Hell.

The world is just a little happier today.

The Red Hulk DIED?! I forgot he even existed. Did he officially leave the Avengers at some point? And how many months before he comes back?

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Ross has been leading the Thunderbolts for maybe a year.

His Thunderbolts were: Deadpool, Punisher, Venom, Elektra, THE (red) LEADER (It was just like in NCIS how Gibbs would smack DeNozo in the back of the head whenever he was a dick... But y'know, Ross would smack the Leader in the back of the head whenever he thought about killing the Thunderbolts.) Mercy and Ghostrider.

    Quite a fun ride.

I still remember 8 year old Hiro from Heroes who had time travelled into his adult body and gone to a comic shop to feel good about the world but upon seeing the Red Hulk concluded that the future sucked.

Haven't seen Red She Hulk in a while either.

Has Jeph Loeb pissed off Marvel somehow?

    Oh something Deadpool said...

"I love New York. It's the only place in the world that people don't immediately run screaming in terror from me. They all think I'm Spider-Man."

I would hope a comic company with seasoned personnel like Marvel could come up with a premise as good as Doom's IV over a cigarette break.

Amazing X-Men 8. I was originally only in for the Nightcrawler arc. And then, if I was in for the Nightcrawler arc, how could I resist his reunion with Mystique? And then a "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" issue? Please, just take my money.

I never should have thumbed through the new issue, Kyle and Yost's first.

With the addition of Colossus to the cast, the team is now very similar to the classic cast from when I started reading. Just replace Iceman and Firestar with Cyclops and Kitty, and boom! Nostagia team!

Very interesting premise-- the Wendigo curse affects those who eat human flesh. What happens when a dead body is thrown into the product at a meat packing plant and nobody finds out? A Wendigo plague!

One question-- The last time I saw Heather Hudson, at the end of the last Alpha Flight mini, she wasn't exactly herself. Now she seems to be in control of herself (and has the proper amount of fingers). Did her situation that was left hanging in the AF mini get resolved elsewhere?

Probably Kyle and Yost ignoring continuity like they always do.

Moon Knight #4 was fucking psychedelic. I wonder how many magic mushrooms Ellis consumed to write the script.

Regarding Red She Hulk, after her title was cancelled she did show up in Mark Waid's Hulk at the end of the T.I.M.E story.

After Waid leaves the next Hulk storyline is reportedly going to be the Omega Hulk and rumors have it that it will feature the other Hulks/gamma mutations/sons or daughters of Hulk/whatever becoming depowered. Not sure what that means for Jen Walters/She-Hulk though.

I noticed that it's now been 30 years since the start of the Secret Wars.

Original Sin #3. Some big surprises here. Particularly the ending.
BUCKY is the villain?! That can't be true. It's got to be an imposter!

And I refuse to believe Nick Fury is really dead. They've shown that so many times in the past. I mean, it was clearly a flesh and blood Nick getting beheaded. But they can't kill Nick Fury! The only thing that worries me is they want to erase that character in favor of the Sam Jackson lookalike... :(

^That was spoiled awhile ago. Guessing they are trying to fit him in a more villainous post-Cap2. As for Nick it's not like as if he doesn't a have a history of using robot duplicates.

Only the Ellis and Declann run. Wood is presumably taking up after him.
