??? When is that mentioned on screen by M or any other character?

I admit I've only seen them twice due to their Bourne ripoff schtick but I don't recall this being said.

Um. No. You're thinking of the spoof Casino Royale from 1967.

Thank God. I like Daniel Craig's Bond and I really don't want it to occupy the same universe as those dreadful Peirce Brosnan fantasy parodies, or any other Bond movies for that matter.

When I come to think of it, I consider the last two Bonds to be a reboot to Sean Connery's Bond. The rest never happened. ESPECIALLY not those crappy episodes of The Saint that got mislabeled by mistake. :p

Well I saw it the other night and I was blown away.

There was so much right and not a lot wrong.

James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon, and Michael Fassbender were amazing.

January Jones not so much. I did try to like her, I had heard that she was the bad spot of the movie but I did try to remain open and attempt to like her . . . it didn't work, she was horrible. My only hope for the sequel is that they replace her with someone more talented.

James McAvoy, I had my reservations about him, but that last scene on the beach sold me, I actually think I felt my heart break at that moment.

Michael Fassbender, just . . . beyond words. He was perfect. And he has a wonderful smile.

Jennifer Lawrence she's a hottie and was great as Mystique, I did like Rebecca Romijn's brief cameo.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between everyone, the story was phenomenal and part of me wants to go to my old high school and visit my history teacher and remind him of the month we spent on the Cuban Missile Crisis and inform him that it was really the X-Men who stopped it ;) and I give this one a solid A.

First Class is now showing less times at my theaters thanks to Green Lantern. I guess they have to push the new one and don't have the same space for both. I read more articles calling X-Men's opening a possible Marvel low point. It's not like anything remotely associated with Marvel is having a bad year, geez. In the stores today there was all kinds of Thor and GL merchandise, too. Even stuff for The Hangover. See, that is First Class' problem! There is no merchandise = no one knows you exist!

And frankly, I was upset my nieces didn't want to see First Class today. First they wanted to, then didn't. They loved the cartoon then, but omg now they are teens they Hate it ppl! ::) Actually, one of my nieces flat out said she was 'tired of the guy with the claws.'

Yep, people think this is pro wolverine after his crap, see no merchandise to the contrary, and don't go to the theater. What are the numbers today? I've got to convince my husband now!

    Glad you liked it Honey!

I have never seen Mad Men so I had no reference for January Jones. But I liked her performance here. To me it came across as very understated, a character who was essentially bored with the world of mortal humans. I would not mind seeing her return in a sequel.

Anyone else get a Chris Reeve as Clark Kent vibe fron Nicholas Hoult in the film. Maybe it was the glasses.

I have the hardest time believing that he was the nerdy kid in About a Boy. He grew up well.

    I'm with Trekker4747.

Definitely had a Peter Parker vibe about him. I actually turned to my friend at one point and said that he would have been a fabulous Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Yeah, it reminded me of young Clark from "Returns". Much resemblance there.
