The Romulan War will not be discussed at great length in the film, but the characters are greatly affected by the political/social climate that came out of the war. So the film concerns itself less with the details of the war, and more with how it affected the way people think.
Like in "Balance of Terror", very few specifics of the conflict will be revealed.

Here's a short little video I put together to see the Pacific 3D model in motion. Still no textures or fancy rendering, but it's a start!

We also see a vast dust cloud in this clip. This particular interstellar phenomenon plays an extremely important role in the story.

Thanks for the feedback! There will surely be more to come once my PC comes back from the repair shop!

In the meantime, I've taken a serious swing at what the NCC-201's command chair will look like!

    Here's a list of compliments:

-Pacific 201 is an amazing title. I'm very jealous of it.
-The creative concept behind it is very original.
-The look of the ship is nerdy cool. I love it.
-The captain's chair looks very neat.

I cannot wait for more developments on this thing.

    Wow, thanks, my friend!

Here is the newest progress on the film - a new prop! Here's my idea of a 2200's tricorder!

Well, I thought since this is six decades before TOS, I wanted the TOS tricorders to feel lavish by comparison.

But all that aside, this is just a prototype prop, so I'm definitely still open to suggestions!

That's a rock and a hard place aesthetic choice, isn't it? :p Have to make it look futuristic, yet not as advanced as tech on a 60's show...

@aalenfae I (just me) would designate this as (Model SC-400 MARK II) Portable scanner. But who is to say when the tricorder became available :)

I plan on holding auditions sometime after the script is done.

Right now, I'm still technically writing, so auditions are still a few months off!

Engraved aluminum badge for the crew of the NCC-201.

These badges would be multi-purpose, serving as a clearance card, data storage device, and ID tag, as well as a simple badge.

Aalenfae, I have you listed at Star Trek Reviewed under http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/210.html as (P), but I'd like to add you to my Star Trek Fan Film map, which will also help people close to you who want to join a fan film group find you. Could you tell me the city you live in? If it's LA, I need more exact information, because there are so many fan films in LA, I try to get the marker into the right part of LA, and likewise Las Vegas. Most cities, however, have no fan films in them. Feel free to PM me.

I think I'm already on the Fan Film map under Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Today, I present something else for y'all to look at -

Another preliminary CGI test! The video doesn't represent what final renders will look like. Instead, these videos are just my tests to see how the 3D model looks in motion.
