Since this is a Star Trek message board and not a Marvel movies message board, I am not surprised. ;)

It has nothing to do with wht message baord folks are on.

STID is selling more than IMIII.

    Simple as that.

    I don't see it.

And last time I checked, Iron Man 3 had made 1.2 billion while STD was somewhere around 450 million? Tony Stark seems to win the dick contest with Captain Kirk.

And the fact that it moves the Marvel universe forward instead of creating a massive restart where it all ends on the same exact note as the last movie. Also, every BluRay comes with the commentary track and the Agent Carter short, so thumbs up to Disney for not splitting up the special features like Paramount/Bad Robot did to STID.

DVD sales is what we are talking about.

NO ONE with a brain expected a Star Trek movie to bring in more than a comic book movie at the box office... just not going to happen.

Speaking of moving the universe forward, it's funny how both franchises now have technological leaps of potentially game-changing nature: Iron Man how has Extremis, while ST has had the transwarp beaming since 09 and now has magic Khan blood.

It's also weird how both STID and IM3 feature supporting characters working with the bad guy in exchange for the healing of a young girl.

End of Iron Man: "I'm Iron Man."

End of Iron Man 3: "I'm still Iron Man."

Yeah, they left Trek in the dust:lol:
