When she was inhabiting his body she stood in the middle of the Body Banks ans screamed "I AM KITTY PRYDE!" The price in embarrassment alone was worth a thousand nut shots. You'll notice how afterwards, the Baron immediately lost to the X-Men, lost the war, and ended up dead.

Never read Spawn. So Angela is a big "So what", for me.

The poor Baron died? Oh dear. Did Kitty walk out of that captivity with a full set of the Barons memories and skills?

I'm not saying that a fraction of Karza is still in there pushing her to be a *&^%, but it's possible that between him and Ogun she could be playing a very complicated long game towards absolute power which has had her at the least metaphorically pushing her "opposition" under buses and off cliffs as she climbs the rungs of power... She's co-principle of Xavier's School which makes "Katherine" the de facto leader of all Mutantkind in some eyes, even if Hank is sitting at the table with the New Avengers which doesn't mean shit now that that job doesn't come with an infinity Gem, even if they unilaterally speak for Earth for all galactic considerations, as if elected officials and absolute dictators equally don't add up to a hill of beans.

    ...

I never read spawn either, but I did watch the price of Angela's first appearance unrealistically tick up month after month when I thought personally that all Spawn deserved to be in the quarter bin.

Todd McFarlane was on The Talking Dead the other night, not too bad a public speaker.

I really have to wonder what percentage of today's Marvel readership gives a flying fig about Angela

It's not so much the character, I think, but the incredible talent behind her.

I just stumbled across the two Infinite Comics: Guardians of the Galaxy issues for free on Comixology. I haven't read them yet, but I did flip through them, and it looks kind of cool. I had been hearing so much about the Infinite Comics on all of the comic book sites I had to see what all of the talk was about.

How does she compare with the work Gaiman did on Sandman or Marvel Man? I nothing about the character and the visual just screams "90's Image excess".

How long did the first arc in All-New X-Men last? One I finish one of the novels I was reading I was thinking about getting the rest of the arc.

It didn't really feel like an arc coming to an end yet and they're 9 issues in...

Ah, I might just go by amount of money then. I'll probably cut off at $16 or $20, which would take me up issue 5 or 6 I believe.

The opening arc in All Meh is six issues long, although really as Mr. Light states it feels like just one long ongoing story the way Bendis has designed it.

It just goes to show that you can't please everybody. All-New and Uncanny X-Men are currently the books that I anticipate more than any other, and it's been a loooooong time since I could say that about an X-book.

I've said this before, but I really don't like anything Bendis has done with All New X-Men or Uncanny X-Men which I dropped after the last issue. I'm glad others are enjoying them, but what he's done with them and his inability to write the characters... just lost me. I guess it's the same thing you have with Wolverine and the X-Men? I recall we had a disagreement about that book. I loved it and you didn't like it? I feel the same way on both Bendis titles. Kieron Gillen did far superior work with that team than Bendis is doing. I kind of wish he'd remain aboard.

Stuart Immonen is doing sensational art though for All New X-Men.

While Bendis certainly has his flaws, I really enjoyed his Avengers run, and I'm liking the X-Run so far as well but it's nothing hugely epic yet of course.
