Well the increase in reward xp makes leveling way easier since you go up a grade per mission.

Also does anyone know how to do the lore mission that gets you the data chip?

 

The console for the data chip is near the tailor. The lore quiz itself is based on The path to (whatever year).
You can guess the answer or need to collect and use the data chips to read the chapter in your accolade list.

 

I played Tribble for about 10 min today. I had to work on a thing for a client this evening... but now that I have Tribble up and running expect to see me around this weekend! w00+

TTS

I created a Tac officer, kind of a parody of TOS. I have James Tiberius Smirk (or Jam to his friends). Spook is the Science officer. I have a temp Engr and another Tac BO which will eventually be replaced by Scotty and Chekov clones. The BO skill trainer is broken so that's a little frustrating.

Jam started off in the Miranda class ship, Non-reliant, but recently moved up to an Escort ship. Probably should have taken the Constitution class though.

Is Stranded in Space broken? I can't seem to get the mission.

I have a few Duty Officers that would be good for an Engr or Sci character. Is it possible to trade those?

 

Stranded in Space is the very first mission you play after the tutorial. When you picked it up you have to talk to Malcolm Sissel at the shipyard first to start it.

Doffs can be traded via the usual PlayerToPlayer trade window and I believe even on the exchange, but you need to know the exact name of the Doff to find them there I believe.

 

How's the Ship/Promotion bug as of right now? How much Daily Grinding do I need ensure I get a new ship?

Might be on tonight... not sure yet.

 

Can't be sure about the higher ranks, but when you reach commander you're rewarded with 8000 dilithium and a discount token. The discount token reduces the price of a commander rank ship to 10,000 dilithium, which leaves you 2000 dilithium to make up the difference.

That should take you about half an hour to an hour to grind (perhaps none if you already have some saved up.)

 

Figure I'll do two more grinds... that'll give me enough for a ship and some for "other tasks."

I for one embrace this new system... if you want a new ship you have to earn it. In real life the Captain of a naval vessel doesn't have six more ships waiting for him back at base... nor can he fill out a form and press a button to get a new ship whenever.

 

Yeah, something was broken on my char. It would not give me the Stranded in Space mission and if I looked at the mission log it said that I could not replay it since I had not previously completed it. After I made LCDR, the mission showed up again. So I finally did Stranded in Space (as a LCDR). Now that I think about it, I think that I started SinS perviously but got a server disconnect. It probably corrupted the files for that mission.

 

A few questions:

Any plans to create a seperate discussion for TTS or is that necessary?

Any plans to create a fleet on TTS?

Is anyone interested in trading duty officers amongst ourselves or is everyone just selling them on the Exchange?

 

By discussion, are you referring to the in-game chat channels, or to a thread here on the board? If the channels, all chat channels are already universal; you can talk across all three servers (Holodeck, Red Shirt, and Tribble), and you can even use the chat channel when outside of the game or while in Champions Online for that matter (XMPP).

I've seen Timelord_Victorious flying around Sector Space on Tribble, and he already does have a Tribble offshoot of the TrekBBS fleet - TribbleBBS Armada.

With Halloween upcoming I thought it would be fun to put all our toons into scary or evil costumes.
We should then gather and take a screenshot of us.
If it works out we can do a holiday picture in a few months... all in red and white outfits.

Someone was faster then me.

 

My game computer died yesterday and being a typical Monday I didn't have time to troubleshoot it. So I may be out of commission for a day or two.

I can't think of anything scary about the Federation uniforms although I've seen a few characters with hideous color schemes.

 

Halloween fleet mode enabled.
I renamed the fleet into ZombieBBS Armada and changed the fleet emblem slightly.
Feel free to monsterfy your costumes for the season.
Anything that makes you looklike a monster, zombie or plain evil would be great.
