Yeah, I was going to say. He might normally have a filter so he doesn't say racist things and he's somewhat ashamed that the filter wasn't on, but that's not the same thing as being taken out of context.

I dunno, the person, their actions, their humour, their worldview, that's what will attract me first. Skin colour is irrelevant.

who drew these illustrations, Tiberius? Looks very much like Quentin Blake.

That's probably him. I recognize that image as a page from Roald Dahl's book The Twits, and Quentin Blake (as you probably know) illustrated many of Dahl's books.

^I've read only 2 of Dahl's books yet. For some reason he's not that well known in Germany. A shame as his books are really awesome :) I discovered James and the Gigant Peach during my last vacation in Wales, bought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a few weeks ago and have 3 more of Dahl's books on my Christmas wish list (imo one is never too old for good childrens books)

As for the guy in that news article and blog: He's yet another example for the benefits of condoms. If only his dad had used one..

My favorite Dahl book was his childhood autobiography Boy which is very sweet and dry and amusing and horrifying all at once.
