First off let me say I absolutely HATE playing games on line with other people. I do not like multiplayer online games. That said, I do enjoy playing games with friends who come over to my house. I love hooking up an extra controller to my Xbox 360 or PS3 and playing with them. The problem I am having is finding games that we can pay together that do not require us to go online or have an online account. We have played Borderlands 1 and 2 too death and are looking for other games we can play that don't require an online account. Does anybody know any other games like this?
Resident evil 5(I plat this with the move controller). RE 6. Gears of war. LBP(hey its a fun game). Aliens CM(You can get it cheap so its not to bad and wortha run through on coop) Minecraft(I hope you got a lot of free time) Portal II. Rayman origins.(Hey i love platforms) Army of two series.
I recommend this site: http://www.co-optimus.com/games.php You have all you need there when it comes to co-op gaming Here are the lists for PS3 and 360 co-op games listed in order of their co-op ratings. http://www.co-optimus.com/system.php?id=1&sort=rating&direction=ASC http://www.co-optimus.com/system.php?id=2&sort=rating&direction=ASC You also have tiny icons next to each describing what kind of co-op they give.
I wish I could reccommend the new Star Trek game, but so far it's just mediocre. I haven't tried coop yet though.
The Halo games allow for four-player co-op but not all on one console. The narrative also takes a hit as you're all playing as Master Chief. The Left 4 Dead series pretty much needs co-op to be fun. Again, you'd need two consoles for four-player co-op.
That's not true for all of the Halo games, actually. In Halo 3, player two would be the Arbiter, while players three and four would be Elites (who even have names!). In Halo: Reach, other players logged into profiles can customize their own character, rather than as player one clones. Customized SPARTANs can also be used in Halo 4's Spartan Ops co-op mode, though sadly additional players are indeed Chief clones in the campaign.
