Would "Face of the Enemy" have worked with Joanne Linville?

For those who don't know, Naren Shankar, suggested bringing back the unnamed female Romulan Commander from "The Enterprise Incident" for "Face of the Enemy", but Joanne Linville was apparently unavailable.

I think it would've been interesting , considering how stingy they were with crossovers (ones from TOS, anyway) at the time. Would they have made reference to "The Enterprise Incident"?

On the other hand, I wonder if it might've made the female commander look a bit foolish to get duped by ANOTHER crewmember from ANOTHER Enterprise.

    What do you think?

I think it worked fine as it was. The episode doesn't need any crossovers. It works just as well with Toreth (and let's face it, when is Carolyn Seymour anything but awesome?) as with Charvanek.

    Agreed.

As far as I'm concerned, if they wanted to really improve it, they would have changed all the haircuts so they didn't all look like Moe from the Three Stooges.
