Right on the money. He might have been a vanity thing when he was young, but who among us isn't guilty of the same thing? As for Gates McFadden, I assumed she wore the wig in the first season when her onscreen hair looked thicker and redder. When her hair looked more strawberry blonde and was finer in texture I figured it was her own. And I'm pretty sure the Nathan Fillion toupee thing is just a joke.

But here's one: In the opening scene of next movie, the Enterprise encounters a spatial anomaly and receive strange transmissions from another Enterprise, something about an energy ribbon and deflector control. Spock devises a solution and transmits through the anomaly. The Enterprise B implements the solution from the bridge and is not damaged by the ribbon. The anomaly disappears and our heroes continue on into the opening credits ...

Talking about hair. From the new book about TOS Season 2, it says that GR was the one who had 'Kirk' shave off his chest hair. I always thought it was Shatner.
