    UPDATE...
I’d say this done. Just need to attach the forward cannons and add missile bays.

Started to texture the main hull. I got the impulse engines, shuttle bay doors and airlocks done. I also did the belly cannon.

I like it. :) The way the colors look, it looks like separate contractors built the ship and the nacelles, which is probably very realistic. :)

    Thanks.
    UPDATE...
I’m not 100% happy with this one but it’s done for now. I may eventually go back and rework some of the textures.

If you're fishing for opinions, I would say that the main hull on this ship looks like it was a tank model that fell victim to an overzealous airbrush pre-shading strategy. It's especially weird to me that the weathered "grid" seems to be under the markings, like the paint of the big "5" (et al) was applied after the ship had been out there getting dirty.

But again, just my opinion. If you like it, then ignore me. The actual modeling is very nice.

    UPDATE...
Almost fully up and running again. Got a bit done before the end of last month. A bit of detail added to the back.
Decided to make those things on the side, shuttlebays. Also added the impulse engines.
A little bit if detail below the ball.

Nice! I always took the big wide door thing on the middle of the aft wall to be the shuttlebay and the little circles around the aft edge to be the impulse engines. But I like putting some engine feature on the ball itself. And there's no reason why you couldn't have extra hatches on the sides like that. I think they look great!

Lately I've been rethinking the Daedalus as well, and will also dress up the ball a bit with propulsion units.

    Keep it up!

What a great Daedalus! The vertical missile launch tubes is an inspired idea! Perfect for a "primitive space vessel" armed with "primitive atomic weapons".

I always found MKF's decision to put launch tubes on the Daedalus to be a stroke of genius. They just look good!

Sort of looks like a vessel that would be more at home on Gerry & Sylvia Anderson's U.F.O. TV series, but I like your work and imagine it in a Trek world, too!

Something wacky is going on in the back. Have to find a way to fix it.

I have never been fond of the Daedelus, but between you and MadKoiFish I'm gaining an appreciation for them. It looks great!
