I watched the flashback sequences, skipped most of the rest, the show is lots better that way.

Nobody who lives in San Francisco would look at the word "Sunset" and think, "gosh golly gee, where the heck could that be." :rommie:

    She steals brains.

I'm wondering about the casting of an Asian here, that she didn't defect from her family of gurus with untold thousand year old secrets about soul transmigration she's upgraded with the "modern" (ab)uses of electricity.

So, at some point her 10 thousand year old father is going to show up and say "How dare you tell these dirty barbarian foreigners about all my secrets."

It's like how the "elders" got super pissed with Bruce Lee for teaching Kung Fu to all the round eyes.

Yeah I like the idea that this is all some kind of Hindoo hocus-pocus. But I'm sure I'm just getting my hopes up. Again. :rommie:

Is Temis back-pedalling to cover up the fact that she is thousands of years old herself?

    the key.

If the key is not from, the future, or the present... maybe the tech is old, and the Atlantean's finally bothered to integrate it into the surface worlds culture "recently" as they direct the fall and rise of the heathens?

Remember Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black explaining about how all the cool innovations from the last 50 years had just been reverse engineered alien tech?

Did you ever see a 70s tv movie "The Return of Captain Nemo" where they said that the Nautilus was a nuclear submarine, and most of the toys on that ship put the US Navy of 1978 to a royal shame?

You didn't see American Dad a couple months back?

As long as we're looking into HindOO pantheons...

What if Lucy is a God?

At School, I knew enough Koreans, who had one name for the locals and their real name for everyone else. Seriously, 5 years I'd known "Eric" and suddenly I find out, he just thinks I'm too stupid to pronounce the name his parents gave him when he was born.

(Have you ever seen the cartoon Lucy daughter of the Devil? It's Hilarious.)

Lucy's untold lack of respect for "regular" Americans (This would be a "rich" thing, more than an "Indian" thing.) to get their tongue around her essence, had the gal recast her identity into the salt of a certain redhead every one loves, well, Rikki at least..

Rebecca could be a failed clone of her "grandfather"?

All this theories just sound ... horrible. Sorry. And I'm not sure some time travel would be any better. Ugh.

That's the problem with the show - there has to be a POINT to why these people (the "63's") are being brought forward. Why are they so important?

If the show cannot answer that, then the mechanism for transporting them won't matter - it could be witchcraft, time travel, eternal life, whatever. It will just be pointless.

I had a reasonable theory earlier in the thread, but it's been completely and utterly abolished by what the "63's" are doing upon their return. Where they were basically just test subjects. But the whole brain-washing, Machiavellian (link for sojourner so he doesn't have to 'jokingly' ask what that means, too) plotting just makes it all nonsensical and silly. Especially since it only seems to apply to some of them upon their return.

Making things up as you go just doesn't work for these types of shows. Is it really that hard to figure out what you're going to do during the early stages of production?

I was told by a friend once, when you start drinking you have to assume that every one knows more than you, and knows better than you, and these are not the worst guidelines to follow when you're sober either.

Hyperspace, you're just afraid if the Hindu theme is pushed too hard that we'll end up with a string of episodes including Bollywood style musical numbers.

FOR KALI'S MERCILESS SAKE! THE DISGRUNTLED & IMPOVERISHED SLUMDOGGING CAST OF OUTSOURCED NEEDS TO FIND SOME WORK IN THIS HORRIBLE CITY!

    Poor bastards.
