    "built for Sin"?

I can't be bothered listing examples of diverse shaped actors in Star Trek, seems kind of pointless when you object to a young woman's thighs.

Louise Fletcher would do a great job.

EVERY DAY IS FIRE CAVES DAY.

Charismatic, insane. Stick some ears on her and :techman:

I'd also love to see her disheveled :adore:

Thinking about it I think she would have been FAR better than the Sybok we had.

She's playing bicycle spokes as a musical instrument, but a little spreading out on the thighs in a flat sitting position (which is rarely flattering for anyone even if you have twigs for legs) is what bugs you "a lot" there and needs to be hidden away?

You're especially demanding (which is frankly a very polite way of putting it). Obviously, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I find her very photogenic and attractive, and not at all "beefy" in spite of your attempts to depict her as unfit for television. I'll leave "built for sin" off, since that taking the only thinking of women as sex objects discussion way beyond what's already happening here.

You are also conflating the ultra-thin type of actresses that are often cast today with their TOS counterparts, which were curvier, more typical of the women in audience, but no less attractive to most people if we're to judge by the number of threads complementing the beauty of the women of TOS in said forum. That being said, there are plenty of attractive curvier women on TV today as well, so your assertion that they have no place there is inaccurate too.

Louise Fletcher is awesome, she would've been much better than the Sybok we got I agree, but that is setting the bar pretty high to be fair.
It is appalling how rigid and unforgiving modern standards of beauty are if that girl is supposed to be overweight by modern standards. Much like how commonly people say TOS era Kirk is fat, which is ridiculous as well. I get a little bored with everybody kind of looking the same in so many modern movies and tv shows.

    Allow me to make amends:

This Screen Cap (included for the enjoyment and appreciation of all) is of Deborah Downey, playing the blonde musician in the STAR TREK episode "Way to Eden."

Apparently, she turned to painting and is known more as a portrait artist, these days. Information on her is most limited, but for your reference, I have included these links:

Yeah, not that I'm acquiescing to "built for Sin" as a criterion, but I don't see anything about that actress that would be out of place as "beauty" in any era and certainly not in ours. Thanks for posting those added links though.

I could actually see the male Kirk and Spock duo talking about shoes.

KIRK: Mister Spock, that's a mighty fine pair of boots.
    SPOCK: Thank you, Captain.
KIRK: Not standard issue. Where'd you get them?
SPOCK: Back at the trading station we encountered one month ago.
KIRK: Shame. We won't be heading back to that region for some time.

    Then Bones walks in.

BONES: Those shoes are NOT standard issued.
SPOCK: No, Doctor. But I did check regulations, and they meet the requirements.
BONES: Screw this shit. I'm putting on my crocs.

There you go, Newspaper Taxi! You got it ...
STAR TREK could benefit from more than merely switching genders. I suspect a revolution is coming, where STAR TREK is less cardboardish, in its characterizations and performances, becoming more Human ... and relatable.

That will definitely happen if we ever get a new series. There will be more kicking back, and not just listening to recitals.

DS9 did go there to some extent.

If you want to gender switch Sato, you should maybe pick a male name.
