Hopefully they plan out the season ahead of time. The first episode doesn't air for a year so they've got time.
^Agreed. Looking forward to seeing who else joins the cast and, in particular, who returns from previous series.
It's not 24 without Aaron (Glenn Morshower)...he's been in all the seasons except the last one (more than even Chloe!)....He could easily be inserted as checking in on his son as he starts with CTU.
I just heard Mary Lynn say that if they didn't want her on 24, that was ready to sign up for Sharknado II.
Okay--apologies if these questions have been addressed, but... As a fan of 24, I'm VERY wierded out by it apparently lasting half a season. Question 1: WHY?!? HALF a season? HALF? Question 2: Isn't part of the PREMISE of the show that each season is a "real-time" span of a 24-hour period? And doesn't making it less than 24 episodes...kinda defeat said premise?
My guess is that half the seasons couldn't have a plot that lasted an entire 24 episodes and it's less realistic for two separate unrelated events occurring on the same day with one conveniently starting right after the other ended. I think the real-time one hour = one hour concept is the more important part than it needing to last exactly 24 hours.
Somehow it hardly strikes me as the greatest injustice of all time that it's 12. Here's hoping the first scene is Jack sleeping in extra late, and the last scene is of him going to bed early.
Obviously they don't want to take the time or effort to do a full 24 episode season, but they want all the fans to pay full price for the season dvd set that will be selling in the future!
1. It's just for the summer so it's a limited run like most Summer shows 2. The 12 episodes will cover 24 episodes. Recently the head of Fox said that there will be an international element to the miniseries so I'm guessing that the 12 skipped over hours are skipping over the boring international flights.
Still...the show's called "24". If it's gonna be 12, I don't suppose it'd be too much to ask that the miniseries be renamed? Say, "Half A Day: a Jack Bauer story" or something or other. (Let's face it--we all know who Jack Bauer is--that'll be enough to link it to the 24 universe.) Because given a show called "24"....
Yeah the show is still 24 hours of a terror attack, but now they are adding some realism by having only 12 hours be shown.
