I completely agree with you about Saavik. The Borg have more personality than the Robin Curtiss version of the character. As for Ezri/Jake... could be interesting if something happened to Ezri and the Dax symbiont ended up in a male host. Then Ben Sisko's old mentor/friend could turn out to be his son-in-law!
I'm in the minority that prefers Robin Curtiss' Saavik. Exactly, how fun would that have been?! Would Ben still call her Old Man? Would it be at all awkward for Jake that his girlfriend/wife remembers him in diapers? Plus - it gives Jake something to do meaningful.
YES. She was *perfect* for him, because they both had obsessions that didn't connect with each other. I can see both of them going off and having their own lives and adventures and coming back together when the opportunity arose, over and over, with absence making the heart grow fonder and always with new things to share with each other. Both knowing they would always be second best to the Enterprise/the whales, but both accepting that that works for them. (It isn't a marriage that would suit me, but I'm not Kirk, either - I'm extraordinarily "co-dependent" with my wife and we like it that way. )
Trip/T'Pol (I know they slept together... but I think they should have ended up together. No pointless Trip death was needed). Archer/T'Pol (if we had another season and Trip was dead already or if they ignored the Trip/T'Pol arc altogether) Janeway/Chakotay (I'm a J/C fan... don't hate!) Seven of Nine/The Doctor Jadzia Dax/Bashir Garak/Bashir Kira/Odo (I know they got together, but then Odo left to go back to his homeworld. Would have rather have had them stay together). Picard/Crusher (their love was OBVIOUS)
I was a child of the '90s so as much as I enjoyed The Voyage Home, Catherine Hicks will always be the mom on 7th Heaven.
7th Heaven?? Her character was married to Stephen Collins' character on 7th Heaven. Or did you mean this Will Decker? http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Willard_Decker
