What if...Ira Steven Behr took over the franchise?

Wouldn't it be cool if JJ leaves the Trek franchise for Star Wars, and then Ira Steven Behr takes over Trek. Then we get a DS9 movie!! Woohoo!! Okay, sorry. I'm freezing and I'm on a caffeine high. What can I say.

 

But would any of the actors want to come back for it? Sid pretty much says he has other goals now.

 

We wouldn't get a DS9 movie, but we might get a DS9-quality movie.

 

I remember Behr saying they could write a kickass film, but he never considered it.

 

And if he came back he'd probably have to change his name again.

 

Sid is old enough to play Sisko now, which is why they initially contacted him.

 

I think that would be great, although I prefer a mini serie.
You don't have to bring all the actors back, just a couple because I don't think Meaney would be coming back.

 

I think some actors say that because it's very unlikely to happen. So why plan for it? Even if it happens they might continue to say that as a negotiation tactic (does Leonard Nimoy ring a bell?)

 

True. And, if on the off chance that it ever did happen, I'm sure they could get everybody back if it was only a one-off movie.
