Dealing with a quadrant shattered by war, rebuilding the UFP and Cardassia, continuing the wartime alliance with the Romulans, venturing back into the GQ to explore.

DS9 had loads to do after the war, it really could have carried on either with Sisko remaining or Kira in command. Once Voyager got back home that's really it, the continued series would have to go off in numerous directions and nopt follow the strict everyone in one place format (kinda like the start of DS9 season 6, numerous storylines spread out all over the place).

That would really entail developing a whole new series though if you had the crew scattered and interacting with a whole new cast.

Moar Romulans. Generally. In any series. In fact, I want to see Star Trek: Romulans, the series. But not those stupid TNG Romulan costumes.

To the Romulan psyche a big boxy plaid uniform could be sexy.

What's under those shoulders I wonder.. not padding. Probably more like an american football deal.

The padding is probably made from supergrain so that they plant crops and survive indefinitely on some barren alien vista after a messy shipwreck.

A survival pack? I guess if it was weapons they'd have to remove their shoulders to attend diplomatic conferences which they obviously don't do.

It might have been a book, but Worf said that he usually had at least 17 concealed weapons on him at any one time.

The Romulans would be the masters of weapons that don't trip scans. Perhaps they can launch their shoulderpads as mortars.

What is it with you and weapons?

    Romulan shoulderpads are huge!

That could be a folded up three story mansion tent...

Although when Geordie and that Romulan kid were stuck on a storm planet dying... He didn't unfold his tent?

No one ever has anything useful when stranded in the elements, to encourage huddling.

    Huddling or cuddling?

The show should have ended with Janeway meeting GOD in a bar.

Janeway figues out all the good her crew has done after being stranded.

The series finale episode ends with a blank scene with the words

    "Voyager never made it home"

    :p

The point of huddling is it might lead to cuddling. And if it's very dark the viewer is unsure of whether it actually did.

I don't know. I liked DS9's finale very much. But for the sake of speculation ending the war sooner would've given the audience a chance to look at the aftermath of the war and the admission of Bajor into the Federation. I wouldn't have minded if the war had ended around the middle of Season 7 and leave the remainder to deal with the aftermath. Rogue Jem'Hadar or Cardassians could be antagonists if that was needed.

The admission of Bajor into the federation would have been dead dull. There would have been a ceremony, a speech and after that tedious episodes where Bajor did stuff that Feds felt the need to tweak.
