Tagged along with the wife to Half-Price Books today. Bought Imzadi by Peter David and Star Trek: Debt of Honor graphic novel by Chris Claremont and Adam Hughes.
Congrats @Marynator! My latest purchase: Bowden tube and several Bowden tube fittings for a dry box I'm constructing (okay, it's an airtight bin and will have holes drilled for the fittings... :P ).
CONGRATS!!! Additionally, I just spent $56 on a parking ticket. Thank you Philadelphia Parking Authority...
One burning question remains: Is your wedding cake going to be something like this.... http://betweenthepagesblog.typepad....voyager-wedding-cake-will-blow-your-mind.html Then you and your husband and all of the guests can get into a lively debate about bridge windows versus bridge screens versus bridge window screens.
Got a pair of Sony MDX-ZX110 headphones today on sale for around $16. They're a decent replacement for my Apple ones which are losing volume and are getting tinny. Hope to get some new Apple ones some day but these will do for now. Not a huge fan of the head phone folding, but it seems ok listening wise.
Knight Rider Complete Series Blu-Ray, Japanese import. Most uncut episodes so the original songs are there (the US Blu-Ray has a few more cut songs and lacks follow-up movies). Naturally, the first episode I watched was "Trust Doesn't Rust". Surely an inspiration for "Datalore", but KARR is more amoral compared to Lore's brutality. Loved Lore but KARR's amorality is refreshingly different... Though I can't imagine Lore telling its human rescuer if he wants to "Eat, drink, or reproduce". Peter Cullen is perfectly cast as the voice of KARR. Hannah Louise Shearer worked on the episode as well, as producer, on a show that must have cost a ton to make (so expect reused footage from time to time).
I've been on a World War 2 book kick lately and have been buying (and reading) a bunch when I can find them used (ie cheap). Also got some craft beer from a recent trip to the South Jersey shore.
