Well according to some stories DT went into acting so he could play the Doctor.

Of course he kept one of each of them, has them hermetically sealed and has them under lock and key. This IS one of the biggest Whovians ever.

If the 10th Doctor isn't involved in the 50th Anniversay in some way I'll eat my hat!

If David Tennant isn't in the 50th anniversary, I will eat my entire hat collection (and I have at least a dozen different fedoras)!

I like my hats and some are impossible to replace. However, I will be very surprised and probably post about it on the internet.

This strikes me as the most appropriate response.

That's your prerogrative of course, though questioning his professionalism is out of place.

No it isn't?! We're talking about acting so I merely mentioned I don't think smith is very good. Not out of place at all.

    But yes, entirely my opinion.

That's not really what you said, though, is it? Oh well. One should expect snark on the internet I guess.

Not to make too fine a point of it, but what I got was "this guy needs acting lessons", which isn't quite the same thing as "I'm not fond of his acting style".

Of course, when discussing art, talking about worth always ends up being a complete waste of time. Stating that one "likes" or "hates" an actor or a movie or a book, that they're "awesome" or that they "suck" is the least interesting thing one could say about them, and is ultimately meaningless.

No, he's just a natural-born wierdo (ala Tom Baker). Even better!:techman:

Tennant is a fun Doctor and a fine actor. (His Hamlet is the best one I've ever seen, having teetered well beyond the brink of madness.) But, after seeing how natural Smith is in the part, it's rediculously evident how labored Tennant's performance was. He makes Colin Baker seem calm & easygoing.

No he's not, Smith is nothing like Tom Baker on the weirdness scale. Matt Smith is normal in comparison to Tom Baker.
